Ouch on the CV aircraft losses! How are your naval pilot and aircraft pools? Will it take long for you to replace those aircraft and pilots?

Pools are fine, so losses are almost all replaced. I have been using those VRF/B/T squadrons on CVEs to train pilots, so that's not a problem either. Now slowly upgrading CV squadrons to F6F Hellcats.

At least there was 42 a/c destroyed on field few days later, so can be 90% sure that CV Soryu is gone.

I was not expecting such losses, since enemy was in base hex.

On the other hand, Rabaul is a major base with big CAP...so..

And I am happy to exchange those planes for CV, in calculations.
