CSA 8th VA Inf. Regt., large pic. of flag posted earlier. This is a flag from the 1st and only silk issue to the confeds. in Virginia, the ANV, and the field is a faded pink, as the original colors of the field were pink hues, not red, since these flags were made out of stocks of intended silk for ladies' dresses, and red was a color that respectful women did not wear back then.:

12th LA Inf. Regt. possible Mixed Pattern used in mid to late 1863 until end of war. This could be just the addition of the Battleflag to the upper left canton of the earlier Stars and bars flag, or this flag may have been altered after the war, not anyone alive today positively knows.

These are great flags. I hope Pixelpusher can include them. How many flags do you think we would need to satisfy both sides? that would mean flag for each division?

Beats me!!! Actually, the game has many of these already and has a lot in it as it stands. Some fellow named jim made a flag mod with more flags but I can't find it in the forums.

I will dig-up some more Union flags, and as for the CSA flags, if the PixelPusher adds the SC Sovereign, the actaul Florida Stae, the temporary Florida national, the two Texas ones from Arkansas Post, and the orange starred flag from east Tennessee and Kentucky, and Lee's ANV HQ and Chief Engineer ANV flag, and creates a simple CSA Generic Engineer flag, then I think that may be enough for me, but I always would like more!!! The taylor style 2nd LA Cav. Regt. flag is also nice.

Have to find some more Union flags though. The two white Illinois flags are nice, and they also used blue regimental infantry flags, very simialr to standard US Regular Inf. flags, so not a problem to use the US Regular flags for some Illinois and other States' units.

Hey guys, nice flags! Have you been checking them against the Flags.pcx file to make sure they're not already in the game. I think I recognize some of those ... (eg the 1st Arkansas, 12th Louisiana)

Hi PixelPusher, Yes, some are in the game and some aren't. The particular ones I am interested in and what the intitial post in this thread questioned about, are the 2-white Illinois flags and the Ohio that I found and posted here.

Some other flags not in the game are the 15-star SC Sovereign flag, the orange-starred East Tennessee and Kentucky flag, the 2nd Louisiana Cav. Regt. Flag., the 1861 Florida State flag, the Florida National or Secession flag, the Louisiana Port Hudson flag with the French tri-color in the canton, the 2nd variant of McCown's divisional flage, Lee's ANV HQ flag, the Chief Engineer ANV flag, the Red Bonnie Blue Flag, and the 2 flags used by the TX Regts. at Arkansas Post,

I also stated in many descriptions of the flags I posted here whether or not they were already in the game. Peruse the flags and you will see this is so.

HS (Hard Sarge) and some other people remarked they would like some more flags, so I posted some. You also stated you had an interestin doing this, so here are some that are not in the game. I also posted those that were in the game already, and mentioned this in their descriptions, becuase they look sharp, and would attract attention to the game.

I hope you put these new ones in the game, and I will loo for some more Union flags.

Chris
