Do me a favor, and don't release it Thursday. I have an exam that night. Friday will do nicely.[:D]

Ok, latest info - we are doing one last re-build due to a few missing sound files that were caught at the last minute today. We don't expect this to delay things by more than a day, so we're still planning for a release by the end of the week. I'll keep you posted as soon as the exact day is set.

You guys really ought to get a new compiler.

Allright, we're aiming for a release tomorrow, but the final gold master for that is being built right now. If there's any further delay, this will slip to Monday (we don't release games on Fridays any longer) to give us enough time to give it a last once over since we had to change a few files for the sound/music fix. I hope we can make tomorrow, but there's a chance we won't so I just want to keep you all fully informed.

Regards,

- Erik

How quickly after release do you foresee the physical copies shipping? I ask only because I will be moving on the 30th and do not want my copy being held up in limbo somewhere or worst getting notification from UPS that my copy is sitting in a warehouse 1,300 miles away. Thanks for any information.

Physical copies will take some time, probably 2-3 weeks because the gold master is being redone. Until we sign off on the definitely final version, we can't begin the process that gets the game on demand physical versions going. Do you know your new address yet?

Nope, that is the kicker, house shopping in Texas this weekend. But with CEAW and AACW, I should be able to sit tight until I do. It is the spoiled child in me that wants everything NOW! Thanks for the information, I can't wait to get this title. Bravo on the new cases and the manuals, Matrix is without question peerless in this industry.

I'll add my anticipation for this title also.   I'm still an American Civil War WW2 nut but this will be a refreshing break.  Think the only WW1 wargaming I have done in past was a scenario in the original TOAW years ago.

Remember lads, wait for the Lt's whistle. Three sharp blasts then over you go.

Dont you new guys worry about the Cho-Cho. Let a guy who has been around for a while worry about it. Its a piece of crap anyway, jam and get you killed most likely...if you live long enough to be around for a while.

Vive la France!!! A la Baionnette!!! A' Berlin!!!

Some fool forgot to hold both sides of the wire when it was cut. Made a sound loud enough to be heard in Berlin. The problem was those machine gunners who had sighted their weapons wire high were not in Berlin. Only eight of the sixty that went out came back. All of us had more than one wound...

I squeezed the trigger as hard as I could through my tears and nothing happened. It took me a few seconds to realize that I still had the safety on. The Germans were so close by then that this one fellow just filled up my sights. I fired and he just folded up and fell over, and still they came on.

The screams of the wounded horses were always worse than those of men. They didnt know why they hurt so, and I never could think of a good reason why we should hurt them...

Man, created in the image of the Lord our God. Yet here we are killing each other in such numbers. We have advanced so far and are yet so far from God.
You mean that we gotta take a test after we read this stuff?!?

It is 6:30am eastern standard time in US and since they have already updated their site last night with a For Liberty Sale and update annoucement, I doubt they will be adding anything else....Hey I hope I'm wrong but I'm just going on past practices....

They're just now opening for the day, and I'm guessing testing the new master is first on the agenda. Commander didn't get put up until late in the afternoon, so I'm still hopeful.

I checked over the new master last night and it looked good, but there are two more people who need to confirm that this morning. If everyone agrees, we'll do our best to release it today, otherwise it will definitely go out on Monday.
