Trolling or humor or both, Knavey is feeling pretty proud of himself right now.

All all bumping this thread does, is encourage him.

Bump.

Actually, believe it or not, he's the oldest of us (4 brothers, 1 sister).

Knavey and I do have a team game going (I'm UK, Knavey USN, vs. two other players).  I think Knavey bought a copy of WitP for our middle-brother, but it made his head explode (and I don't think he plays it).

Knavey and I did have a UV game vs. each other way back when.  I remember we were on some road trip, Dave's wife was driving, and he and I would pass the laptop back-n-forth.  I don't even remember where the trip was to, but we had that lap-top wherever we went.  Dave's KB chased my CVs down towards the Hebrides, and we had our exchange with LBA on my side.  I think I lost Wasp and he lost Kaga.  But his airgroups were completely gutted, and the replacement rates are set in stone for UV, so basically had CVs with no planes.  He was on the defensive from that point on.

Nice! A multiplayer game without delay... [8D]

But Dave's wife must have been... thrilled? It's not hard to guess what she though: "Men!! Like kids, just bigger! [8|]"

It proves that while I know some things about history and WWII I dont know everything. And that ultimately a game is just a game and nothing in this world is perfect.

Joe, Knavey started these threads ages ago when the rest of us were regularly making whiny posts about how the "game is broken" due to unrealistic in-game results. It made us all take a second look at our complaints ...

If you were to create a poll, you'll probably find that most of the forum readers love his little scam...

Brad, thanks for the background info. But if integrity is going to be determined by popularity, the Clintons will be coming back to the White House.

Sounds like you're taking things way too seriously Joe.  My brother's posts aren't about integrity or popularity.  They are intended for the enjoyment of everyone on the board.  Let it go.

I'm not sure everyone enjoyed this as much as you did, and you're fraternal relationship disqualifies you from having an impartial opinion.

But judging by the quote at the top of your signature, I know you won't take my opinion too seriously.

These "WitP" combat reports seemed to work much better than your last stunt, probably because you 'fessed-up to the truth before the posts went on for too long.

This argument doesn't hold water...I went over 30 posts on one, and 38 posts on another before I 'fessed-up". On this post, I was on post 22 when I called it. AND...someone threw the BS flag on the 2nd post!

Dave, remember that time we went to watch the Bucs lose at the deisel bar, and Chip started running his mouth? I thought for sure we were gonna get into a scrap.  It was to the point that we were counting heads, "How many of them are there, I'll take one, Chip's a big dude, and is toasted, so can probably take two..."  And Thierry replied, "Hey I'm French.  We don't fight.  You guys can fight those red-knecks you want to.  I'm gonna pour ketchup on myself and hide under the table." (he really is French by the way).

The situation diffused when Chip's girlfriend made them go home.

Ah... good times.
