[:D] I know "summer 2008" is not too specific , and there's always hang ups in any new project or venture, but Matrix , can I make one big wish? My birthday is August 13.  Any chance? Maybe my Anniversity on AUG. 29?  Please? Pretty please?  But hey , no pressure.  [:D]

Taking a WAG..., I'd guess release for one of the big summer gaming Cons. Origins perhaps?
[:)]Anybody know when Origins is this year ? [&:]

July 4th weekend, as usual.

I might as well put painting the windows black on my list for early next summer. After this comes out, I will probably only go out for food and work. [:D][:D]

Wow.  Thanks Matrix.  This is absolutely amazing.  I was deployed when WitP came out in 2004 and will be deployed when the new and improved model comes out.  I'm looking forward to deployment!  A year of evenings with nothing to do except play the game and build new spreadsheets. [:D]  My wife will wonder why I don't want to come home. [:D]

I can't wait to begin a new campaign. Of coure, I have a moral commitment to complete my current WITP campaigns. I expect that I will be ready to start one up in, say, 2013. [X(]

My god....500 plane types

And someone will still complain that there isn't a certain type represented which flew with a private flying club in Western Australia in 1941 before being taken over by the RAAF and used for liason duties [:D]
Maybe not...[;)]

GASP! [X(] I hadn't considered that yet. What happens to our old games, no way they'd be playable I'm guessing.

Must play 8 turns a day, must finish before July. Must not sleep. [>:][>:][>:]

Buy the expansion but wait years to install due to ongoing commitments. How painful would that be?

I hope they offer a nice price break for owners of WITP 1...

I can't afford another $100 game anytime soon...

I also own WPO...how about a "double coupon" day?

Well considering everyone who plays AE will already have to own WitP to play it I doubt you'll see a price break...afterall it is only an expansion pack.

I am very impressed by the nature and the scale of the changes presented by Matrix today, to make WIP even better. Everybody following the exchanges on this forum, can see that a lot of suggestions coming from the players to improve the game have been taken in account by Matrix. I am definitely one of your customers next July.
I have just one question: do you plan, in this new version, to bring “utilities”?
For example will it be possible to keep through over different turns information concerning detection signals, evolution of the different parameters concerning economy ?
Some modules to follow production using figures and graphics will be certainly very helpful.
Keep traces of history of the career of ships, and different units through over the war will be also interesting. Colour of the detection zones covered by the different reco aircraft units will also bring a plus.

No matter how much is put in... people always want more.

Keep in mind, all this costs in terms of processing speed... if people got everything they asked for, you'd have to get a supercomputer to get it to run...

Let's see...... about 6 months or so before it's released........ that's about $4 a week and there's your $100.

True, but they keep making faster computers![;)]

The new dual, quad core CPUs are more the double the proformance of any PC when WITP was first being developed.

My only concern is the AI

If the AI can't be improved, that's the point (new game doing the same dumb things)! [:-]

Don't get your hopes to high on a killer AI. I am sure they will do the best they can, but it may not be possible to improve it to the level you and many others desire.

I'll try to get the best enjoyment out of whatever we get.
