In Pacific, Kyuzhu is not defended so US give a surprise attack there and threat directly Honzhu. Next turn Japan will surely withdraw his South Asia army to home, that will be a good chance for an Allies counter attack.

I am really aggravated because Hypersnap is not working at all for me today, so I am unable to provide any visual details of the turns.

Japan: As soon as I ended my movement impulse last turn, I realized my mistake. Carriers were supposed to be on East side of Japan! Kudos to Ning for noticing and exploiting! Well, due to choke points and fighters etc, I was unable to move any transports back to where I could bring troops back. But, I doubt that I could have brought enough back to do the trick anyhow.... Japan will fall next turn. Would have been have been nice to show screen shot of the pop-up of 8-9 planes asking me if I still wished to move transport!!!

Germany: Took bait (as I realize the game is over anyhow) and attacked in force into Eastern Poland. Good results for Germany, but Romania is now abandoned and Russia has plenty of units, even if tanks and inf are slightly inferior. Attacked remaining air units in England and actually got the worse end of the stick....

I leave it to Ning to decide whether he wishes to play this one out, but I am not sure there is much point given there is no way that Germany can hold for more than three turns.... But of course, I will do my best to stall should he wish to play things out.

Again, well played by my opponent!

Ok, I will try to explain what happened this turn.
Lucky1 got an oppfire warning when he tried to move a transport, but I don't know in which way. The way I marked out here normally shouldnt get oppfire from Kyushu.
The second question is if there is an oppfire, could some of the troops survival to get to Honshu? Next picture shows in the new suppression system, it was more difficult to damage a transport by oppfire (need 30 suppression?). But here this transport received 60 suppression by 2 CAG and 5 fighters, even without this autohit it will be damaged.
But if Lucky1 managed to put something back last turn, I am not ture I can take Honshu easily, don't forget there are already 5 militias.

So finally Japan is taken, this is not expected because if I can't take Honshu this turn, it would be difficult for Allies to restablish the supply line to Kyushu.

The situation for Germany is not good too. With the fall of Japan, WA would soon open a second front in Europe, and Soviet is always overwhelming in the East front. I think the war won't last too long. As to be surely a decisive victory for Allies, it is no sense to have my opponent spending time for nothing. So I agree to stop this AAR here.

The last picture to show something bizzar. All Japanese troops are still there? And become Germany controlling? It should be a bug.

Although we could have played out the remainder of the game, Ning and I agreed that this would serve no purpose as Germany does not have the resources vis a vis Russia to prolong the game in any meaningful (or interesting) fashion. As in chess, I tip my king....

I do not have a lot of comments on the AAR (other than I wish I had not been so sloppy) and I have already provided my observations on the UV 2.1 mod (which is well thought-out). Jesse appears to be implementing changes regarding transports / transport tech levels for the Axis (which were really my major area of concern). A good learning experience, all in all.

My kudos and thanks to my opponent for his prompt and innovative play.

Cheers,
