Game freezes at "Loading Interface"

Well, this turned out to be a very weird issue (we think we've got it solved). Based on the log, we think the reason the game suddenly started failing for you is that one of the files became corrupt. We can only speculate how this happened, but you should probably take a good long look at your hardware and software to make sure that no other files are being corrupted.

The corrupt file appears to be blueRubberBand.x, which is found in the /Media/Graphics sub-folder.

My first suggestion would be to backup any save files you want to keep along with any random scenarios or campaigns, then uninstall and reinstall to see if that fixes it. If not, that means your installer is likely corrupt as well and a re-download would be in order via www.findmyorder.com.

You can also unzip the attached to your /Media/Graphics as a quick test to see if the problem is resolved.

i have tried
extracting the attachment into the specified folder- no change
uninstalling and reinstalling both from the digital download and cd rom and the same fault occurs
is it worth trying to download a fresh client?

Hm, copying the file from my upload should have solved it. Feel free to try a re-download and reinstall. Make sure you have any anti-virus/security software turned off when you reinstall. I'll go back to the developer and see if there are any other suggestions.

tried a new downloaded client and the same problem- then copied the new bluerubberband files into media/graphics but no change

Hello again, I'm sorry to hear that didn't help.

I just spoke with the developer and he asked if you could post your latest log file after the recent re-installations so that we can see if there is a different issue at work. He's still convinced it's some kind of file corruption, though he's not sure of the source. Did you try shutting off anti-virus/security during installation and when running the game?

I have the same problem unfortunatelly. The attached file didn't work either.
Drivers are the latest. It always freezes at interface load.

Btw. Winterstorm worked fine so it must be something else than drivers.

Seems like this game just didn't like my hardware . This is exactly why I think demos is a great idea.

Please post a DxDiag file for us and give us a bit more info as far as exactly what happens. Can you describe it to me from initial launch of the game to exactly where it freezes for you and which scenario(s) that has happened with?

So far we have two "Loading Interface" freeze issues. One is fixed (the region settings) and the other is still under investigation. I'd like to make sure we figure out which category you're in.
