Here is my first pass on using a splash screen for the opening form.

This has the same functionality as the previous version - but sure looks better.

You should place 'restore a saved game' text above the browse button methinks.

I'm glad you like them.

Here is a cleaned up version (I did the first one after midnight last night - I wasn't functioning on all cylinders).

2nd and last in series.

When you want to restore a game, you first click on a scenario, which brings up the middle panel: a list of all saved games for that scenario. If you single click on a filename from that panel, the two right panels (in red) are shown, letting you know more details about the saved game.

The example here is from Eric. I ran it about 2 dozen times while working on fixing some bugs in the overrun code.

The informational subscreens are a brilliant idea. I'm giddy with an almost girlish pleasure because this is hardcore attention to detail that bodes so much for the game itself.

Love the splash screens - and in particular HMS Repulse above.[&o]

I was interested to see some of the other possibles being suggested for inclusion. Will there be an effort to ensure that the subjects finally chosen come from a split of countries in the name of balance?

Obviously the Hood is a must [;)]

Uh, I just wanted something pretty on the screen - simply eye candy.

Performing a political balancing act never entered my head. Well, I guess that's not completely true. I was looking for 2 each of air, naval, and land. And I did want the backgrounds split between maps of Europe and the Pacfiic.

But by country? That seems a bit far afield for the purpose of these graphics.
