19410216 : GB : Very little intelligence for our staff to process. We see the same few units before Gibraltar, nothing else. We reinforce Malta, shift the Royal Navy to a convoy protection stance. Increase the strength of our garrison in Great Britain.

Neutrals : The Axis is moving a great many units but not attacking in Jugoslavia. The USSR places more screening units on the long border with Romania, and uplevels some Guards units. The USA waits for developments.

19410301 : GB : The panzers have arrived at Gibraltar and we decide to pull the extra corps out.

Neutrals : Jugoslavia awaits the assault on Belgrade. USSR builds some screening units and uplevels a Guards unit. USA waits.

19410316 : GB : In an attempt to keep the Gibraltar garrison fresh we are cycling between the 90th and 91st Corps. We do not know if this will work or not. We have fortified Malta, which we want to keep.

Neutrals : Jugoslavia is under attack, but the Axis seems in no hurry to expend the amount of effort to take it quickly. The USSR builds a Guards Tank Corps, and a L1 division is added to the screen. The debate about how to handle the security situation versus a modern attack is still only a theoretical one. The USA continues her research and holds off on expenditures on units till the military situation becomes more clear.

19410401 : GB : We switch the corps in and out of Gibraltar. The Royal Navy experiments with alternative basing for the possible fall of Gibraltar. We uplevel two motorized divisions, and ship aid to the Soviet Union, trying to convince them their best chance is to side with us.

Neutrals : Jugoslavia sees another breach in the walls about Belgrade. The Germans can hit us hard next turn and the capital may fall. he USSR upgrades a Guards Motor unit to a corps, upgrades a infantry unit to a Corp in a critical river bend, and uplevels the corps in Odessa. The USA waits.

19410416 : GB : We swap our Corps around in Gibraltar, and build a garrison for North Africa. Convoys continue to run to the Soviets as we attempt to influence them.

Neutrals : Jugoslavia sees powerful Panzer Korps approaching Belgrade, and try and limit the front the enemy can use in their assault. The USSR is deeply concerned about the Axis buildup near their borders. We uplevel some border forces near Axis concentrations. The USA waits.

19410501 : GB : It is with grave sadness that HM Government announces the fall of Gibraltar. The troops have been shipped to Hondouras to be on parole for the duration of the war. The nearly concurrent fall of brave Jugoslavia is yet another hammer blow, of the many which have fallen on us since Hitler unleashed his dogs of war upon Europe. We shall not falter, and with the aid which is now flowing from the mighty economy across the Atlantic, we shall prevail. The coast of Europe will suffer rapier thrusts, and if the Italian fleets dare to pass into the Atlantic they will find the Royal Navy ready to defeat them. Our military is seeing to the defence of our lands, which shall become a mighty fortress from which the forces of democracy will flow forth to free the captured lands.

Neutrals : Jugoslavs draw last blood, and the troops are released to partisan activities. The USSR is beginning to take British warnings of Hitler's intentions more seriously, and shift border forces to face the Axis forces in Romania. The USA has used its influence to try and draw Norway into the war.

Neutrals : USSR : We flesh out our border forces, and look with foreboding. USA waits, and sends GB PP by lend Lease.

19410516 : GB : Not much going on. Push another convoy through to Murmansk. Upgrade to a corps in Edinburgh.

Neutrals : USSR : Build a Guards tank unit. USA : Watch and wait.

19410524 : GB : We improve our garrison about Alexandria. The Italians seem to have other things on their mind, but we do not want any surprises in North Africa. The convoys to the Soviet Union continue.

Neutrals : USSR : The Romanian front is crowded with Axis troops. Everywhere we see units. We are preparing for war. We uplevel a Guards Tank corps. The USA sends Norway a significant convoy.

19410601 : GB : Another convoy to the USSR. We build a division for the London garrison.

Neutrals : USSR : Worry. USA : Watch.

19410609 : GB : We build another garrison division for Scotland. GB and northern Ireland are now garrisoned by 23 units. Another convoy sails for the Soviet Union.

Neutrals : USSR : The forces aligned against us are massive. The Motherland needs our valor! We attempt to brace up the lines, especially on the borders of the threatened Baltic States. USA : Wait, send out convoys to some neutrals.

19410616 : GB : We build another division in Scotland, and send PP to the Soviets by convoy.

Neutrals : USSR : We scramble to address the Axis coup de main in Lithuania, which we were somewhat ready for, but the great strength the Axis pushed forward implies a continuing push through the Baltic neutrals. This will give us a very long front to defend, a huge curve from Odessa to Pskov perhaps. This will be a hard war.

19410624 : GB : Just as we told Comrad Stalin the wolves have turned on the USSR now. We send all the aid we can and wish them well.

USSR : Shocking, even if expected. We decide to defend at the border although some officers called for pulling back. We decided against this because the line does not really shorten until we pull back to Leningrad - Pskov - Minsk - Gomel - Odessa, or something on that order. As long as the front is for us, it is a bit longer for the enemy. This clash is titantic. The Axis might have been simply trying to fix our reserves while they have another axis of attack planned. If so, they succeded because we committed far more of our Guards Tank units than we wanted to. We do still have some Tank and some Guards Motor Corps uncommitted.

Neutrals : USA : We get ready to support the Soviets in their struggle. Norway : We are close. We will join when called upon. We have been building up our navy to join the Royal Navy. Greece : We are watching anxiously. Are the Axis powers too busy to attack us.

19410701 : GB : Send convoy to the Soviets.

USSR : We build garrison units for the cities in the west, as we do not want to give the Germans anything for free. We move more reserves into the front line near Odessa to plug a gap where the Italians drove through. In the very center of the front we move some divisions forward to agravate the Germans. Our anti aircraft fire destroyed one German and five Italian air SPs. In the north we declare war on Latvia so we could cross their territory, and we attempted, unsuccessfully, to have a coup to bring these foolish fellows into alliance with us. They decided to attempt to come closer to the British. Best of luck with that as there is no way the British can aid them.

Neutrals : The USA waits and wonders, sending a lend lease convoy to the Soviets. Norway : We are close to coming in on the Allied side, but need more prompting by the British.

19410709 : GB : The Axis is tied up with the USSR. We send another convoy.

USSR : Our line is too thin across the very long front and we have to give up one of the cities we gained in ourpact with the devil. We also give up ground in north, center and south, trying to get a line which can limit enemy gains. Most spending this time involves upgrading and upleveling so our screen can resist the Axis attacks. In the south we have been able to keep some reserves, but in the north we have had to push even Guards Tank formations into the line. We hope the south is stable next turn so we can address the north.

Neutrals : USA completes research for L5 artillery, and is about to begin L3 armor. Convoys to Britain, USSR, Norway and Greece.

19410716 : GB : No challenge to our seapower, so we use it to send another convoy to the Soviets.

USSR : With each hole punched in our lines our gallant soldiers must scramble to form new positions. The situation in the north is the most critical, and all our reserves are thrown into the breachs. The Pripet Marshes are going to be a problem, as transport through them can only really be handled by strat moves. This may soon involve us in a northern and southern theater of operations. We build two strat move points to allow us to handle this better. We had almost no offensive moves this turn, destroying a Romanian division with two idle Guards Tank Corps, but this has no operational significance. The enemy lost one air SP.

Neutrals : USA : Wait her turn. Convoys to Britain, USSR, Norway and Greece. Norway : We wonder when we will be called on to join this war. The British have the DP to try and bring us in, but it is too close to call. Greece : We feel comfortable that we will not be assaulted anytime soon for there is too much going on in the USSR.

19410724 : GB : The Royal Navy continues to dominate the sea lanes so we ship aid to the Soviets.

USSR : The northern front is in serious trouble. Nothing stands between Minsk and the Pripet Marshes. This huge hole will surely be exploited by the enemy, but the lack of communications in this area hinders us. We may well lose the Polish territory we gained in the miserable pact, and wonder now why we ever wanted it. The enemy may have concerns for his northern flank, but in the south the marshes protect him. We will have to work hard to defend in the north. In the south things are much better and we even were able to strike at the Romanians again. It would be good to draw some German forces down south, but the Germans seem focused on their opportunity and will probably call on the Italians to cover in the south. We upgraded another Guards Tank Corps, but it is only L1. We need Strat Move points, we need infantry corps, the list is endless.

Neutrals : The USA sends the lend lease to Britain and the USSR, and a convoy to Norway. Norway waits. Greece watches.
