Screenies?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

We were split on the map lines. Those of us who like them think they make the map look more like an operational map. There is a request in for a hot key that will turn the hex grid on or off.

Any chance of a particular units name being displayed on the counter at all times?   E.g 14th Pz  or   247 Rifle.
Russo-German War 41-44 did so and it really helped.

We looked at that, but the space became to cluttered. However when you click on a stack a right hand side window pops up with all the detailed info of the units. It's really nice, trust me...

I don’t think a small screen shot will get me in trouble.

In this picture the selected HQ is outlined in Red and its subordinate divisions are outlined in blue. Its parent HQ is outlined in orange and the other HQs that belong to this Army are outlined in yellow. If I had of selected the Army HQ all of its subordinate HQs would be outlined in blue.

I agree I like the bright clean unit counters and the soft color palette on the map. Well done.

There are 5 zoom levels in the game, this is zoom level 1 that Rick displayed, the one I showed at the top of the post is zoom 2. On 3 and 4 you don't have CV/MP numbers but unit types and get a great overview. Level 5 is a grand overview of the entire front, just unit colors. We also have a jump map option...

Hmmm ... how about getting rid on the strength numbers (13-16), because who cares, and have a vertical bar on each side of the chit. The one on the left goes from green to elite and the one on the right is strength, from beat-up to fresh and sassy! Obviously a elite PZ Div or Red Guard Armored Corp that is up to snuff is the bad boy I am looking to plug that hole in the line.

Oh and if you really want to see the numbers just right click on the chit and you get ALL the good stuff.
