The Map

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

if you see areas with bad overlaps, or places that are totally in the wrong place, please let me know, and if you can, where they should be

there been some complaints about cities being in the wrong place, but with out telling me, better details on what and where, I can't do too much about it

(there is going to be some leeway, with target Icons and stuff, because of size, and the need to keep them apart (like London, most of the targets, really should be almost on top of each other, but in a game, that don't work out too well)

Hi Hard Sarge,
I have one little wish. Can you replace texture of city from old Bratislava position on the new position (it's in the BTRMap020.bmp file)? Thanks!

Hi Mikkey,

Bratislava is not that much away from Vienna - it should only be half the way away (it is nearly as close to Vienna as Wiener Neustadt)

Hi Swift, I know, that on the current BTR map is Bratislava near to Wien, but on the update Hard Sarge map is Bratislava little further (Wiener Neustadt is like part of Wien but Bratislava is ~60km away). I know, that her position in not very good, but, in limitation of BRT map (missing the river Danube...), better given the position Brno, Martin, Nove Zamky, Wien, Budapest, Gyor...

I think, that new position is better than old. May be a little closer to Vienna, but not as much.

Maybe this will help. Here is an overlay of the original targets on a 1939 National Geographic map. This is based on the beta patch, so do not include what is under discussion.

The cities of Linz, Vienna, Brataslava and Budapest are positioned properly in relationship to each. Most of the other locations like Gyor, Wiener Neustadt, and Graz are off. HS could spend the rest of life tweaking this and that location - most are not correct. The actual impact on the game of the locations being off is probably irrelevant.
