RE: map and counter mod german symbols
After looking over the map alot I have a few suggestions that would make it easier to see the different types of terrain.
1) Swamps need to stand out.
2) Mountains and hills need to stand out more also.
3) Cities need more darkening.
4) Major cities need to be a little different than minor cities.
5) Also the production numbers clash with unit str and ap when a unit occupies a city.
I know what you are going for, the style and such, but players need to see differences in terrain without looking too hard.
Thanks!

Hi swatter, I also was looking for some more "vivid" graphics version for my laptop screen.
For major cities, I prefer to rename them in capital letters at cities.csv than add an icon or an eyecandy (supply sources being big cities like Berlin or small towns like Vichy have red underline icon).
Here you can download the map mod:

RE: map and counter mod german symbols
Thanks, Ill give it a try.
RE: map and counter mod german symbols
Good work. I like the map, not the flags, the Nato counters are pretty good.
RE: map and counter mod german symbols
I´m afraid you will not like that [;)]

RE: map and counter mod german symbols
I really like this map and the German flags. Could someone post fresh links to get them. The ones I have tried seem to no longer be functioning.
RE: map and counter mod german symbols
I second this...these are the best mods I've seen. Thanks Peter123!

I finally found a working link. I believe I have the files I was looking for. Thanks!
A good way to exchange files is to make a google group and upload and download files through it.

Thanks Bleck, I just joined and downloaded the files there.
RE: map and counter mod german symbols
Hi, the links are working for me. The last ones are the more recent versions.
Anyway, I have uploaded the last versions I get.
Minor graphic changes for the maps; every map now admit the optional hex grid. A new "flavour" of the colored map is available.
Also minor changes for the counters, I have repaired the bugs I have noticed in previous versions.
And please remember to look from a distance for not being hurt [;)]

This is beautiful! Could you please tell me how to change the font in game to such as in the screenshoot in Post#62 and upload your cities.csv with major cities in capital letters? Also, I would like to learn the meaning of german symbols, is there a good site about it?
RE: map and counter mod german symbols
Thanks verte.
The font for cities is defined at appearance.csv in the mapskin folder:

Futura BK BT is the font for the name. Of course you must have that font installed in your system or you will see a default font.
You can easily download it, I have found this:

Very nice! How hard to make the land units appear as counters like the air units?
