Two new HPS games announced

In squad battles. You can actually choose which weapons to fire.  You don't want wasting precious ammo (like demo charges and anti-tank) on some target types, or when the range is not optimal.
Actualy the choice is by weapons group, like a group of 5x M-16.  Not individual M-16s so it's not too bad.

You can also pick up weapons dropped.  Like if you lost your M-60 gunner, you can pick up the M-60 and have someone in the squad use it.  Or when my M-16s condition is so bad (they lose effectivity easily), I can just pick up a decent AK-47 from a dead VC.  The game actually plays a bit like X-com or Jagged Allicance if you think about it.  It's just that everyone moves as a squad.

What's your definition of good C3?

This is a tactical game so I don't think much is simulated. You have separate company / platoon leader counters that can rally troops. Each rally cost's action points and can also attract op fire from the enemy.

I'm speaking for Squad Battles, are you talking about HPS Campaigns?

Doing stuff that commander would do. Which means no magical communication, no having to babysit everyone, no magical knowledge of everything, etc.

I like shrimp too. Their's boiled shrimps and fried shrimps and shrimps gumbo and shrimps alamode. Garlic shrimps, shrimps scampi, shrimps salad shrimps cocktail and stuffed shrimps.
