We are the 8th of August 1940. The french army is on the blink of destruction. For those who follow this AAR, I will post news from the front every four turns, with less screenshots. My first goal was to show all of the aspect of this game and I think that it is done so far. I must say that this game, with this mod, is really interesting. I have played many board games such has the Europa series, The longuest day or Advanced european theater of operation, looking for accuracy...this one is easy to play and a good simulation. I can't wait to see how things will turn in the eastern front.

First week of September 40, 5 wing of German air fighters attack the RAF and are defeated (5 air points lost by germany, nothing by england). Hitler decides to cease this operation. Norway has finally join the axis alliance (I had to make a change in the country csv file to reflect this). The german's goals for auntomn are "Invasion of Yougoslavia, help the Italian forces in Afrika by sending some tactical bombers in sicilia, begin the preparation of Barbarossa, make Roumania join the axis, build U-boots, take control of Narvik...
During September, most of the action happend in Afrika,

Some battles occured in the west mediterranean zone...between french and Italian navy. In the east, med is controled by the royal Navy (The Cappellini CA has been sunk by the HMS coventry in a short skirmish) but transports from England have to avoid the Med sea and it takes about a month to get to Alexandria, going around Afrika.

Thanks for the very interesting AAR [;)] I`ve often played both sides in board games using 4x die rolls to decide attacks/retreats/moves/supply etc. and have quite good fun. Maybe I`ll get ToW and try that.

You should give it a try but I am playing a mod "ETO blitz" with some house rules to better reflect this conflict. I found that playing the AI was not very interesting, it does too many silly things. (I let the AI defend Yougooslavia...units are thrown everywere [:)]). Playing both sides is fun but of course with the fog of war, this game must be exciting to play against an opponent.

East med is under Royal Navy control...shore bombardments on Italian units help defenders of Sidi Barrani. Planes of the glorious attack Italian tanks.

By the middle of october, some german inf division are sent to Trondheim by boat. The first convoy manage to reach Trondheim without being intercepted but the second one is caught by RN and sunk. two wings of tactical german bombers are in Norway but the weather is bad and Royal Navy escapes without trouble. There are some french units in Corsica but out of supply. Some french sqadrons there try to fight the Aerotica...should Allies try to evacuate those division ? French troops hold Tunisia but can't get enough replacements. In Yougoslavia, things turn bad for the axis forces because of a very bad weather and a lack of coordination between Italian, Hungarian and German's units. (The game can't allow such coordination)

During this past month, some battles occured on the sea. 6 english battles groups have been hit (8 hit points, 3 by air attacks), France (5 hit p (JEan de Vienne sunk) and Italia (7 hit points). Germany has built 6 sub groups wich should be operational in February 1941 and invested in the sub tech to reach level 4. The Royal Navy launch the construction of a new air carrier.

I am playing both side in this game, a fun thing I like to try is to ask those of you who are following that AAR, what should be the axis stategy for the next months or so ?. I will still be"the commander in chief". [;)]

Have you actually DEPLOYED the purchased units? It's a separate action for land units and naval units.
The menu to deploy naval units is included in the naval command structure. A delay may be applied. If I recall correctly, for subs, its five turns from purchase.
Land units can be deployed within one hex of an owned city. That may mean you have to deploy them in the homeland and SR them to the front later.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite malfunction
