In France, the Axis advance is methodical but relentless. No swift breakthough, but a slow grinding march. At least this means plenty of casualties inflicted on Axis forces despite the toll on France. The main Axis advance appears to be pushing through the gap between Nancy and Dijon, threatening to either flank the Moselle defences or to push toward Paris from the SouthEast. There are plenty of armor and mobile units among the enemy formations here, but they are keeping to the slow plodding pace of the infantry, apparently hesitant to outpace thier flak coverage for fear of Allied air attack. There is a secondary advance, mostly comprised of well supported infantry, pushing northeast along the Moselle toward Sedan and the last remnants of the Maginot Line. The Luftwaffe has constructed a new airfield between these to areas of advance to concentrate thier fighter forces and try to keep coverage over the entire line.
My plan for defence is to use the largely unscathed French 9th Army to hold off the secondary advance at the Moselle, meanwhile the 1st Army and the BEF will try to smack the main Axis advance from 2 directions. Whatever mobile elements are left of the 2nd and the Maginot forces will withdraw to support this manuver. I don't think I can stop the Germans, but hopefully I can force them to pay for the ground they are taking.
