GPS [Game Played Sent]

July 1940,

STAVKA ordered the immediate counterattack to regain lost ground just to the south of Roth. Depleted Soviet forces struck after the VVS softened up the target. Even down to their last bullets and chunks of bread, the Soviet soldier demonstrates the superiority of Communism in the face of adversity.

No major pushes were order against Roth this month as forces continue to filter in directly from the factories, recruiting centers, and farms of Mother Russia. Often the equipment sent to the front lack paint or unit designation markings demonstrating the sense of urgency that these items are needed at the front. It is only through the superhuman efforts of the Soviet man that these feats are possible.

Meanwhile troops continue the easterly drive towards our besieged Chinese Communist brothers. The oilfields outside of Darmstadt have fallen into Bolshevik hands.

Nope. Captured cities are only good for PP/recycled raw/synthetic oil production.

Linking of Western and Central Colonies complete.

Still fending off PRC assaults on the eastern edge on colonies. Man there's a LOT of them!

Sinking lots of PRC supplies at sea.

Mopping up on the Mizhi Peninsula.

Not much action short of harassing strikes against German forces. "We are very thirsty."

Breakthrough in the west of Central Colony, another PRC HQ destroyed and production center captured.

PRC still pressing hard from east...

Pictures taken but over-exposed by bumbling staffer.... now on front line duty.

September 1940,

Despite the thirst that is felt everywhere STAVKA orders a massive airstrike against Darmstadt. Many machines of the Luftwaffe are caught on the ground and reduced to ash. Some damage was also sustained by the city itself during the bombing raid.

To the north of Darmstadt a probing attack is launched. Not much information was discovered other than many of our troops died.

Elsewhere on the front Roth continues to undergo artillery bombardment resulting in the last remaining bridge to the city being knocked out. Below is a map of the strike against Darmstadt.

Our pathfinders found the PRC capitol and our heavy bombers have reduced it to ashes. That should slow up their economy a bit.

On the Central Eastern Front....... here's what the front lines look like, tough fighting, our troops are madly digging in..

October 1940

After many months of bitter fighting in the suburbs of Roth, Soviet forces enter the city triumphantly. The city has been reduced to ashes but it is now in Russian hands. What was predicted to be a bloody final showdown came true. Thousands of soldiers from both sides fell in and around the city. Upon surveying the scene, some Soviet generals faced towards the German lines and saluted. It seems that the enemy has won the respect of some of our generals.

No other heavy fighting was reported elsewhere on the front. Troops are bracing themselves for the coming cold weather and the mud that precedes it. Perhaps the winter will ground the planes thus allowing for fuel stores to be restocked.

Citizens of Nabburg rejoiced today as the western Japanese armies broke the Soviet blockade of the city that had been in place since the solemn beginning of this war. This news was tempered however as the city of Roth finally fell to the overwhelming Soviet forces.

The image below provided by Imperial Public Relations suggests it is only a matter of time before the superior German forces roll back the communist menace!

We have begun a mighty invasion of the PRC homeland! Our fearsome SNLF and airborne forces have landed near their capitol city.

Several PRC submarines were also sunk this month.

Not much action to report on the frontlines. Some spoiling attacks were made but no major pushes. Behind the lines however is a different story. Fallschirmjäger captured a major railroad junction behind Soviet lines. Luckily, STAVKA had sufficient forces in the area to deal with the situation. Action taken against this rear area raid was swift and strong.

December 1940

Stalin awoke to reports of treachery in the south! He immediately pours himself a Vodka for breakfast then sits at the kitchen table and reads the reports. It seems our neighbors to the south, whom we were co-habitating peacefully on the continent, decided to strike us. General mud has prevented a vicious Soviet counterstrike courtesy of the VVS but no matter. Even now troops are being rushed to this new front. Stalin pours another Vodka and smiles inwardly. Although the war with the hated Germans has stalemated this new opportunity brings promise of great victories.

On the economic front the incredible strains of war have pushed our glorious socialist workers to the limit. Thankfully the communist man is far superior in strength and endurance to his foreign counterparts. Factories are churning out warstuffs round the clock. Great plumes of smoke can be seen for miles around as the ironworks forges steel for the instruments of death being created in our industrial plants.

Another new year at war.

In the east our troops continue to advance, capturing vital oil fields from the PRC.

In the north, after last month's suprise advance into Commie terrirory we were ourselves suprised by the large number of troops that can to "meet" us! Our troops, however, soon made quick work of the poorly lead and armed rabble that the Commies call border guards. We have already advanced into the suburbs of Borovichi and have sighted an aircraft factory on the other side of town!

The snow moves south but we move north. We have Borovichi almost surrounded, should fall soon.
We had to advance to the rear on the eastern edge of the front as powerful Commie units showed up.
Hopefully they were drawn from German front to ease the pressure on our allies.
Continue to advance through PRC. Destroyed some PRC subs that were causing trouble in the hipping lanes.

No pictures.... cameras frozen! [:@]
