Turn 24 my moves.

German armament Pts in pool: 33,000
German manpower in pool:40,000
Manpower points over run during 1942:
SHC units destroyed after November 1st 1941: 72
Enemy KIA this turn: 169,000 Enemy KIA:3,419,000
SHC OOB: 4,780,000
SHC net OOB change: -7,000
GHC OOB: 3,277,000
GHC net OOB change:

GHC closes out offensive operations with 22 more units destroyed. Very good summer destroying SHC with 3.4 million kills and 72 units bagged after November 1941. Great start on 1942. That’s a ton of AP to rebuild those units, now I just have to survive the blizzard. I was weak around Stalino, but with that crushing defeat the south should be ok.
12 infantry units under cover with another with 2 more in route.
I will shift them around so 18th army has 14 strong infantry units fir 1942 operations. 10 mech units under cover with another 5 inroute. I am leaving the elite units in front for now.

<TURN 8>
I can't beleive he didn't pull back the turn before on that Mogilev pocket. It looked pretty obvious what you were trying to do, and he just sat there and let you do it.

In fact, it could have been worse, if you were able to close it further east. Bad enough as it is.

Pelton lured him I think - he was looking at this nasty (mot.) Inf all time like a bass for a juicy worm...
The same in the north: Pelton let him come out of the woods and happily counterattack and than... bang.
[:D]

(happened to me too, of course! [8D] )

Hopefully I can do the same thing during blizzard to set up the snow offensive.

Turn 26 my moves.

German armament Pts in pool: 52,000
German manpower in pool:115,000
Manpower points over run during 1942:
SHC units destroyed after November 1st 1941: 72
Enemy KIA this turn: 69,000 Enemy KIA:3,492,000
SHC OOB: 4,905,000
SHC net OOB change: +100,000
GHC Losses this turn: 96,000
GHC OOB: 3,171,000
GHC net OOB change:-96,000

SHC——attacks——-won——lost
—————38————31———7

Its nice to see wite lets its German players choose not to have to stand and fight as per Hitlers orders. The same as wite lets its Russian player choose not to stand and fight as per Stalins orders during the 1941 summer. At least that is 1 box so far German players have not been put into.

I retreated 1 hex the first turn. This turn I withdraw 2 along most of the front. 1 division is left behind at Torhkor in the north.
Loses under 100,000 so that’s a good turn. All 27 divisions are left under cover. All 3 front look good so far. I will pull him away from railheads and let him burn up some trucks before I think about putting up a fighting withdrawal. Land lost now can easly be regained in summer.

Turn 28 my moves.

German armament Pts in pool: 43,000 -20,000
German manpower in pool:156,000
Manpower points over run during 1942:
SHC units destroyed after November 1st 1941: 72
Enemy KIA this turn: 40,000 Enemy KIA:3,570,000
SHC OOB: 5,037,000
SHC net OOB change: +99,000
GHC Losses this turn: 110,000
GHC OOB: 3,011,000

Total so far during blizzard.

This last turn.
SHC——attacks——-won——lost

This turn I withdraw 1 - 2 along most of the front. Over-all front is stable and 26 divisions remain under cover. 1 Panzer unit near ront was moved into a town to help hold lines.

Troops are now funneling through pool so OOB is stabilizing.

So far so good, one more December turn. January can be as bad as December, so I will still be giving ground.

Over the next few turns I will start looking for a good area to counter attack come snow and moving resting units to citys close to front.

SHC OOB is low. Might be the lowest I have played against. M60 had 5.65 million at this time. TDV 5.3 million.

I just need to hang on and not have any major disasters the next 5 turns. I will keep marching west and hopefully by late January he be a ways from his railheads.

Over-all tempo is low so far. 33 per turn.

Not much going on so far.

I lost 2 divisions in December. None are in danger now as we are in late January. I am falling back 1 hex a turn and holding the line in a few areas up north.
The rested units are making their way to jump off points for the snow offensive. Loses so far are average. I still have most of my units under cover. 3 infantry and 3 panzer units were needed at front last turn. 2 are back under cover this turn.

Armament pool is running lower then normal, but seems to have leveled off.

Both OOB's are slightly lower then normal.

He did lose 72 brigades and divisions during late November with will cost a bunch of ap's to replace. So I am expecting his unit count to be low come snow/Spring. I need to put the pressure on asap and keep dropping units so as to get his ap count low early in summer.

Turn 36 my moves.

German armament Pts in pool: 25,000
German manpower in pool: 125,000
Manpower points over run during 1942:
SHC units destroyed after November 1st 1941: 72
Enemy KIA this turn: ,000 Enemy KIA:3,953,000
SHC OOB: 5,857,000
SHC net OOB change: +
GHC Losses this turn: 43,000
GHC OOB: 3,322,000
GHC net OOB change:

German loses for this turn was only 43,000. 8421 only attacked 2 times last turn.

The first turn of February I counter attacked 20 times and won most of them The 2nd turn of February 8421 started to withdraw 1 or 2 hexs per turn.

I never seen this before so I figured I post on it and see how it works for him.

All my panzer/infantry divisions that were under cover are all over 90% toe now and near the front.

Goals for Spring offensive are to push east as far as possible before rivers are frozen so that summer offensives can sweep north or south. Pocket units, keep Russian OOB static for the summer, roll manpower centers and gain space so it’s a long march to Berlin.

8421 has already lost 72 units before spring and summer offensives start that he needs to rebuild, so his AP count has already taken a hit.

My OOB because of the zero tempo is recovering quicker then normal. 8421’s OOB is 400,000 lower then M60 at this time because of the hvy losses 8421 suffered from 1941 summer.

I would say I am in a better position this game then vs M60.

8421 is tring something different we have to see if it works out for him.

Turn 40

German armament Pts in pool: 68,000
German manpower in pool: 125,000
Manpower points over run during 1942:
SHC units destroyed after November 1st 1941: 72

GHC OOB: 3,275,000

AGC I attack in this area to set the table for summer.

8421 can during snow move just fast enough to keep from getting bagged, but I am getting where I want to be for summer.

Come summer he will not be able to out run 85+ morale infantry an mech units.

He gain very few guard units in winter and his troops seem weak I am guessing because of low morale. He has a nice OOB.

Summer will be intereting.

Turn 47 The Great retreat continues east heheh

German armament Pts in pool: 68,000
German manpower in pool: 125,000
Manpower points over run during 1942:
SHC units destroyed after November 1st 1941: 72
Enemy KIA this turn: ,000 Enemy KIA:4,032,000
SHC OOB: 6,215,000
SHC net OOB change: +
GHC OOB: 3,275,000
GHC net OOB change:

Starting in early February 8421 started retreating east here it is May and he is still retreating. His blizzard O was weak, I beleive mostly because of the his loss of 72 units in November and high losses in 1941 3.6 million.

But as you will see his tactic was smart an bought him some time.
