June 4 Rain. One more infantry for the french. 6 aps per turn so 60 more for the next ten turns so 6 more infantry that I can expect. I will ask my opponent what cards he is playing.

Lilles has fallen...Reims is attacked

June 5 Rain again one more infantry [;)]
Arras has fallen.

I did look at the history report (Because my lack of time, I don't do it allways). I saw that 55 german planes have been destroyed mostly when attacking the british. (5 DO 17, 10 BF 110c, 25 BF 109e, 15 Ju 87b)

June 5 Somua for ever

I red a book about the battle of France (battle of Frane day by day by Dominique Lormier) and clearly those heavy Somua gave a hard time to the germans that had not the guns to penetrate their armor.

you played a great game denying major breakthroughs and conducting bloody counterattacks. i just wondered if the british couldn t have done more like your french armored forces? or did the british face more german armor?

Keunert, British did counter attack successfuly once with the 2nd tank division if I remember correctly (south of Brussel, around the 2Oth. After that, I never had another opportunity (Most of the time the BEF had to retreat and my tanks were not at the right place or did not have enough aps to launch an attack). I hope I can get my remaining tanks do another counter attack.

June 6. A lot of attacks from both sides. Very costly in men. Something to follow too, the air war.

June 8 and 9.
The french strengthen their offensive near Reims. The Somua even move out of the suburb. (Forgot to do a sceenshot). Germans are in trouble there. [:D]
Two more infantry have been sent to La Marne.
The 9th, around 100 german planes are down (60 DO-17)
Dunkerke has not fallen after three days of assault.

June 15
I won't write about the last five days, reporting what happend each day because what should have been a tight game until the end did not occur. The german army has simply collapse...
My opponent Ian and I are rugby fan. Our game should have looked like the Scotland-France played two weeks ago but we have found out that Ian did the mistake to not move is army group HQs at all and by the end of the game, all the german army was runing out of supply...It is like asking a rugby team to win and score the final strike without giving them wather the last 25 minutes of the game ! [:D]

The germans could have win this game if they had not encounter this huge problem of supply. Three more VPs...Reims would have fall and probably two more citys...Still, the germans will have suffer more than 22 % of losses...
Ian and I talked about the game and the mistakes we did. It has been vey enjoyable and exciting.

We will analyse more deeply have happend. I found the game very "realistic" but something bother me. The luftwaffe lost the air war...the 10th of June there were more french fighters than germans'ones...is that realistic ?

Supply : The 6th army is far from his command HQ but in the green zone or we see here that the 6th army HQ is unable to provide the supply far enough
