Not much happen this turn. I lose another Achilles to an unseen Panther. I force back a squad of cavalry in the South. Your paras in the back seem to be moving quietly.... where could they be heading?

25 lbers. roar and smash all across the German lines. The North might be as good as lost...

The forces in the middle are still holding.

The forces in the south are also still holding, but barely as 81mm and 120mm mortars scare the artillery away so much they won't rally.

This is one battle I'm sure won't end in a draw :D

That Achilles beats a hasty retreat, firing an HE round at close range and sending a horseman flying.

I am where the fields are green my friend :D

I'll let you know when it's time :D

Artillery pounds my rear area where I suspect some falschmirjager are hiding...

Green fields, eh? Not a lot of those left...
A little recon by rocket should find them soon enough ;)

The norhtern sector looks secure, apart from that Achilles cowering behind the hill and some infantry hiding in the woods nearer the centre.

Down south an Achilles goes up in flames, while a croc lurking behind some trees resist destruction for another turn. There's some infantry creeping around in the same area, but they won't be much of a problem.

Don't worry about the Fallschirmtruppe, most of the company refused to jump again.(ie. everything flying over after turn 1)

Another horseman (1) up north is killed by a HE shot from a hidden Achilles. A 75mm smashes the tree beside the Achilles, telling the Achilles that he is not as 'hidden' as he thinks. The tank destroyer who has so far done nothing significant related to tanks backs up and withdraws to a pre-set line.

In the middle, a few troops also withdraw to a pre-set line.

The south is still mine... barely.

Artillery pounds the north hill, covering another Achilles' hasty retreat.

My computer is being upgraded right now, I'm using my laptop; I'll post the turn later. Sorry for the delay :D Whoppeee!!! Pentium IV 1.8, 80giga HD, GEforce 4 and 512 MB RAM, Swwwwweeeeetttttt! :D

Achilles in the woods destroyed, the other one has one hell of a driver, dodging shots from three panthers.

On the south flank, a croc is unmanned. Artillery still pounding away at the woods and the hill overwatching the VHs until I can send in something to flush out the infantry.

I slaughter a bunch of crewmen in the south.

Artillery pounds the middle hill and the south hill, covering the British army's general...retreat from the field... grrrrr

Still no sign of the FJ lurking somewhere in my rear.

Brittish infantry in the south is on the run, A panther trying to head them of get's its night sights shot off by a 17pder. That AT crew will pay for damaging my toy

In the north the last Achilles finally dies and a nightfighter takes out a 7pder plus some inf on the hill near the brittsh home VHs.

The north is completely lost. The middle is a bit better off, the hill is still an AT bastion-riflemen are fixing bayonets for the inevitable cavalry charge...

The situation south is dire. A few pockets of riflemen and crewmen remain... This is a grim day for the British Army.... Revenge is in the order!!!!!

More artillery pounds what I hope is not open air. :D

Not much of your AT bastion left...

In the south the last remains of the brittish forces are wiped out at the expense of a cavalry squad.
Artillery is reloading and relocating, as are the Stumtigers (a full company, BTW.bwahahahaa:D ). Shouldn't take long...

Revenge can be arranged. Just set up something apropriate ;)

The British forces have their home VHes left... The once mighty Tank Group has been wiped out almost to the tank, one Achilles remains and is fired upon by a Panther G, surprisingly the shot bounces off, leaving a huge dent on the tank destroyer's side.

Sorry, here it is :D

One interesting note- that Tetrarch which I thought was crushed by its own glider at the beginning of the battle?? It's there!!! Underneath the glider! Arggh! Never saw it until now... the crew must've been knocked unconcious by the drop

Anyways, its a little too late now.

For our rematch, how about a USMC vs. Japan?? You choose the side of course :D

Dang it. In my rush for the final victory hexes I clear forgot about that thing. Bloody well killed everything else, though :D
Found some of my AWOL airborne too. I noticed one of the panzerfaust teams I dropped appeared as 'loaded'
Press 'L' and presto! another panzerfaust and a FJ squad magically appear

Rematch I'll take Japan. I just gotta try out those huge squads.

Your turn (if the AI doesn't end the game for you. Kinda surprised it hasn't already)

'S Ok, got it of the other thread, after several attempts.
Killed the last Tetrach, grabbed the remaining VHexes and it's a decisive victory for the Germans. Something like 12:1 points.
Germans lost two panthers, two vierlingflak things, some cavalry and a whole bunch of volkswagens, Brits OTOH are completely annihilated. :D  :D <gloat> :D  :D

Of course I had a horrendous advantage with the Uhu's, plus a lot of luck with availability. Of the top of my head, I brought 3 platoons of Panther Uhus (15), a company of Sturmtigers (10), two Wurfrahmen platoons (8), 3 120mm mortar sections, 3 FJ companies, one rifle company, about a dozen Ostwind and Sdkfz7-1 SP flak, two cavalry companies, and a bunch of kuebelwagen and scout teams. Oh, and two FW-something Uhu fighters.
The only things I couldn't get were flamethrowers and bicycles.
Anyways, I still beat you :D

Ok, after all that, I probably deserve a good thrashing by the USMC ;)

150+ dead for the Germans, 550+ for the Brits,
!40+! tanks destroyed for the British and !4! only for the Germans.

Grrrr

Its payback time!!! :D

Here it is: USMC vs. Japan, 5000 pts. Time to find out who are the better jungle fighters... :D
