It will not take long to evacuate rest of industry from here, so practically there is not much to fight for. From no on I will start transporting divisions north.

Fortunately Saper decided to attack my defences south of Lake Ilmen. Unfortunately my forces were incapable of stopping him.

Out of 18 battles in that region I won only 2 - hasty attack of secondary importance.

Despite having half decent command my forces performed poorly in complete opposition to German - their average efficiency was around 220% (3 lowest were 120%, 130%, 140%). Most of battles were lost with final odds between 2:1 to 3:1.

ehh

Kamil, you are too strong south, and weak Moscow. I advise you to give up Kharkov, and send 15+ div defending Moscow.

I have already taken few, but I wanted to make sure my line is tight and I couldn't run farther away this turn so I had to leave more than I initially intended.

This is going to be tight. 9 more turns before mud is a lot...
Did you agree anything regarding muling?

You can survive muling, as it does not reduce fatigue, but it means any "hole" or non checkerboarded path can and will be driven through for 25 hexes. IMHO your defence is MP 22 cossacks and Mech ( not brigades, but they can have their uses) which can surround these high-fatigue axis units and cause a no-retreat path rout. I recommend you allow paradrops for tactical and operational use, but not for the deep cutting of rail lines near Romania. For example, dropping paras around a high fatigue SS Mot div that has just wreaked havoc in order to eliminate retreat options, then attacking said SS unit.

T8 OOB (Soviet)

In first 7 turns I suffered so high casualties I am no longer able to create proper line of defence. I fear that any attempt to stand my ground may lead to further and this time crippling losses.

My reserves are limited, but thanks to unfavourable ground south of Lake Ilmen, forces that I am able to muster can just strong be enough to slow Germans down for a moment.

Western approaches to Leningrad were weakened as much as it was possible, so I had to trade time for space there too.

I am running away so fast that he will have plenty of time to tackle my defences near Moscow. Unfortunatelly there is no other way to deal with current state of affairs.

T9 north (German)

Fighting in the north continues and I have to confess that bad luck is still my fate.

German units didn't perform as efficiently as last turn. Average efficiency was 160 %, but there were two battles in witch it dropped below 100. Well, I still lost them because my troops were fighting even more inefficiently.

Out of 8 battles I won none. 5 of them were lost narrowly - final odes under 3:1.

Fortunately my defences were not breached so all in all I evaluate this turn as a positive one.

Situation here will soon reach critical point. Assault on my main line near Moscow is still few turns away, but danger starts to loom over Tula. German panzers were rested and infantry is close by.

My defences there are weak and ground favours attacking side. Hard decisions will have to be taken.

Despite the fact that Sapper seems to be sending part of his forces north to reinforce his attack on Moscow I am uncertain if I will be able to hold my ground long enough to withdrawn industry from this area.

There are barely any reinforcements available, so my despite my efforts my defences near Lake Ilmen are very weak. Regardless of that fact I will continue fighting there, because it is only way and place to slow him for a while.

Near Rzhev and Tula I am so afraid of being encircled, that I withdraw few hexes east. I am willing to risk loosing 25 arm, because I can't let myself having more holes in my lines.

Great escape continues.

I was surprised too many times during this game, so I take no chances.
