I can hardly call the situation at the airfield "fighting" - most men are still on their first clip, as all opposition run away before having the opportunity to get shot. That ditch slowed us down, but the airfield is ours and we look for the next target!

Just south a pair of T-28s take the shot over the Krukoy Gully and (surely to their own amazement) cream a PzIV.

We are running towards the Volga! Three more of those behemoth strongpoints are reduced to rubble (with surprising ease!) and provide nice warming fires for the soldiers passing by. :p In the battle for Train Station 1, finding mines are becoming an increasingly popular sport *sigh* including a MarderII. The enemy is kind enough to point out some boobytraps all of their own. How nice of them *BANG* :D

I'm running out of things to shoot at, Doom, so use our Artillery park at your own discretion. :p

I will never believe the Germans! They are notorious for their propoganda, unlike the honest Soviet people....

Post play back done ...my turn...comming tonight...

In was dark and cold outside, yet Jessovinski was happy and warm. He had them both right where he wanted them...one above..one below..yet..he felt the weight of battle.
As he lay, in a sweet and blood covered sheet, in the Beer Factory in the "Stalingrad"....a door burst open wide and his daddy stepped inside and he kissed Jessovinski's face and...wait, that's another song... SUDDENLY! A Hugh blast from a large Soviet gun..and he knew the battle was won...then..this time the door bursting open awakened him ...

Comrade..Comrade yelled the young man..."the Germans..they are here!" Yes Comrade corporal I shall be right there. As Jess folded over the layer of heavy (very heavy) warm quilts..he felt the touch of a warm hand..a very large warm hand...Comrade lover..be safe...we shall mount our mortars...

and the battle continues

We FINALLY see some enemy armor! Excellent. :) They can't hit the broadside of a barn, though. A humble PzI withstood 5 shots without fear, and then (ofcourse) hit a mine leaving the hex.

About those obese mortar girls; it's nice to see that Jessovinski at least trained ONE unit in his army how to fight properly. They sure know how to fiddle!

We killed off what we could see around the airport - most commies were running TOWARD us as we had already passed them turns ago. :D More killings around the Krukoy Gully and Train Station #1, including the KV-1 crew. The companies lock and load and prepare for a possible counterattack.

Random artillery (including the closest barrage so far - one hex margin between us and our own 150mm barrage. We meant to do that!) ; Doom take what's left after you're done and go for Jessovinski's darlings. ;)

The Fat ladies stopped? Much better for us, chaaaarge!

We also found out about the RAT thing - they're hiding in the Tsaritza Gorge! Well, there better be plenty of 'em, as they're down one entire platoon who tried to get past our flank guard.

We are actually closing the lines the further we get, and since the Volga is all that's left with the spearhead units we're starting to fan out, much like Colonel Doom does in the northern sector. The Nail Factory is taken under much *oh* *ah* *ouch* and tiptoe-stepping . :p Not a soul was lost. Next step is the famous Grain Silo, along with the Beer Factory and State Bank. Since we think it's much better to use Russians for mineclearing, we give everyone we don't kill outright a chance to run along... *BANG* One SMG squad is legging it over the 9th January square without getting airborne. Lookin' good.

Pavlov's house is within reach as well, but if Jessovinski made the scenario with that in mind, we rather stay clear for a while.. we think it's a bit dull. It needs more.... flaming colors, yes that's it.

Hmm where to start, so many messages so little time, oh well!

FW heinrich reports the large strongpoint by the ferry landing is under new ownership!, Also reports one less AA ship as the one covering the northern landing area is now on the bottom rusting!
Am pretty sure all that is left up north is some minor strong points that I have bypassed!
Herr Oberst Belisarius would you like me to head south?
Also I have asigned all the northern artillary to the landing[t34 I am not telling you which one!!] and to where there is smoke there are mortar girls who need a spanking!
The southern artillitary is yours to assign to the smokey places on the far river bank! or as you see fit!

Wha.....?!

Post by Belisarius »

First of all, I have to call a flag on the play! My units are back at the spot they were in the beginning of last turn. However, all casualties are still there, and killed russkies from last turn are as dead as ever

OR.. did you post the wrong turn, T-34??

I'm fine with this if that's all there is to it. :p

We kill what we didn't have time for last turn :D
The southern FERRY landing is in a sweet position and we already have cleared a good part of the grain silo, with close combat still to come.
