Alexandria falls to the Italians. The defenders fought bravely and caused many casualties to the Italian Army, but under constant bombardment from land, sea, and air, the Brits were finally forced to surrender. Italy looks across the Suez Canal to the rich oilfields of the Middle East.

The Soviets launched a offensive on the Eastern front along a two thousand kilometer frontage. The supreme soviet had considered the huge forces that the Germans had built up on the border and concluded that a attack by the Germans and Italians was inevitable. So have acted preemptively to avoid the casualties that come from a surprise attack.

The Germans have a lot of toys for the tub, but no rubber duckies.

Snapped in Kiel by recon aircraft.

China is in rough shape after 40 months of unrelieved warfare.

We are considering desperate measures.

The Soviet offensive in the west continues losses mount but the defenders are made to pay a higher price, Danzig and Warsaw hold on but but pay a high price, the Soviet armor splits the German line south of Warsaw reaching Krakow, The Turkish Front advances into the Balkans pushing the Italians back, a Soviet Army has been formed in the Middle East to meet the Italians, that army will be fully engaged shortly.

The USA in game 19 is an example of how well the current method works. Believe me, you do not need more.

The following message has been sent to Japan by China :
March 1941 : You have had a very good run, but things have taken a new turn.

The United States of America is now free to accept the alliance we Chinese offered them. They assure us they will send significant arms to China. You can of course declare war on the USA, but they will have about forty aircraft carriers and full support vessels to contest your home waters with you. Very large numbers of submarines will also be deployed, and amphibious forces will attack all your island possessions.

China is offering a ceasefire in place, and a peace treaty. Here are the terms, they are all important.

1. Stop attacking now. No casualities in the April 1941 report.
2. Do not advance into Chinese territory.
3. Accept the peace offer from China. It would be wise to do this first thing in your turn.
4 The USA will not declare war on Japan before August 1941, if China is not attacked.
5. Japan will not declare war on Great Britain, France or the Soviet Union till August 1941.

We cannot speak for our allies, except for the USA as stipulated above, but we know of no intentions to attack Japan on the part of the USSR, Great Britain or France.

If you care, China has vigorously prosecuted any criminal acts which occured during the "Boxer" rebellion. Japan should also address various crimes of the current struggle lest they reflect badly on her Empire.

Both Game 21 and Game 19 have not seen a turn in a week.

These are both fun games at interesting stages, but the delays make it difficult to maintain intensity. If one cannot get a turn done perhaps another GD1938 player who is not in the game could take a turn or two, just a "substitute teacher" kind of thing. Once the regular player is ready to step back in it would be their game to play out.

On the other hand perhaps a complete turnover of the country is applicable. I would hate to see either of these games lost after so much play, and work.

The United States has used its influence to broker peace between Japan and China. We are pushing hard to repair the incredible damage done to Chinese infrastructure and troops. Huge amounts of supplies have flowed over the Pacific to aid the Chinese. American advisors are teaching Chinese staff new methods, and introducing new weapons to the Chinese troops. The Chinese manpower of Military age has been depleted by the Sino-Japanese war, which is pretty incredible.

The USA is very sorry to see the state of the French and British, and are planning ways to help them. These great nations cannot be allowed to waste away.
