This is from version 1.10 not with the latest hotfix as I'm trying to finish off a campaign. Error image here and the error log will be in next post. I'm getting this a bit.

Hi jpinard
I did as you suggested and rebooted my computer. This time it was a French destroyer that caused the program to lock up. I get the error message that "SC3 is not responding" and I DO not get an error log out of this 'crash'. Very frustrating.
I may not have the most up to date version of 1.10 installed, as you mention a 'Hotfix' in your comments. I do not think I have installed a hotfix, but something like this is causing me serious problems.
I run Windows 10, and I recently installed (a couple of nights ago) a major update. I am not sure what the problem is, but I CANNOT keep playing the game in this state.

I'm getting the game frozen after moving ships with extended movement, the game just freezes and I have to close it and restart reloading the autosave.
Version 1.00.10A
If I wait for the game to respond it just doesn't.
After shutting the game I don't get any error report

EDIT: My problem seems very similar to ludi18671, I also installed Win10 mayor update.

Hi jpinard and rjh1971
I installed the hotfix as you suggested (and the hyperlink helped). I now show version 1.10a when I run the game. Unfortunately, my problem is still there. And, yes, it is EXACTLY like rjh1971's problem, described above. This time I tried to move a British destroyer an extended amount and the game froze. (Exactly as described above - I cannot seem to get the screen capture to work).

So, I remain stuck!

Hi ludi, rjh1971,

I'd suggest downloading and applying the latest hotfix to the v1.00.10 build as it should resolve that game freeze issue you've both encountered.

It can be found here with instructions on how to download, extract and install.

tm.asp?m=4159879

Hope this helps,
Hubert

Hi Hubert, downloaded and installed, I'll give it a try for around an hour and report back, hopefully with no more freezes.
Thanks for the hotfix.

Good job Hubert [:)]

Hi Hubert
I have installed the new hotfix and 1.10b now shows up when I start the game. The game no longer freezes, which is VERY good. However, I cannot access the Reports at all. I have tried (so far) both an Allied and an Axis game and in both I cannot access Reports at all. I COULD access Reports in 1.09, and I used this feature extensively. I can no longer do that. So good job fixing the game freeze, but (and I AM being picky here!) I would ALSO like to access the reports!

Hi Ludi, the reports tab has been disabled with v1.00.10 as it is under works.
I think we all loved it and use it extensively, we'll have to patient
The key addition to this build is that the new style UI is now almost fully implemented and we'd especially appreciate your feedback on that. Note that the Reports menu is currently 'locked' as this has not been 'upgraded yet

Still using v1.10b to finish up a game, I got this error. It is repeatable and I do have a save if needed [a custom campaign, though].

Just starting to learn the game and was experimenting with controls etc. when I got an error message. Didn't think and clicked OK to close the dialog so sorry no screenshot. But the text from the error message is shown in the error log which has the following error message in it:

[2018-01-02 14:25:09 PM; 6.2.9200; 3440x1440x32(1); v1.10.03] FAILED(hide_show_supply): Permission denied

The error was triggered when I pressed the S key to show supply, followed by S again to show the predicted supply, followed by S again to dismiss the supply overlay, i.e. the error occurred upon pressing S the third time. I have been unable to reproduce the error.

Just thought I'd report back that I have just completed a full 1939 campaign and did not experience this error again, despite using the 'S' supply key many times.

Missed this one entirely, and if you still have the save and it is repeatable please let me know.
