Can we just unzip into the HOS copied folder with the other mod or do we need to make another copy and delete the maps and over write?

You have to make another copy ; each mod is like a new game.

If you are comfortable with JSME you can try to install the mods by this program.
For now I have not yet done the complete tutorial for this.
It is not too complicated but the difficulty is to erase the files of the scenarios and the management of the saved games according to the mods used.

Are you sure your game is original and patched in version 1.10 ?
Yes sure but probably i have not understood how the mod work.I have copied each file found in the mod folder in the proper folder. So the counter in the art-counter,the unit, terrain and so on in the folder Stalingrad. Is wrong?
practically i have unpacked the folder mod.

Sequence for installing the game and GME:

1. Install the game and update to 1.10.
2. Open the game installation folder and cut the folder named "Maps" to a folder outside the game main installation folder.
3. Install GME.
4. Run GME.
5. Click on "Tasks" and select on the drop down menu "Generate snapshot of game files".
6. Open the game installation folder, find a folder named "MODS", open it and create three folders, named "HoS", "CWM" and "HotP".
7. Copy the "Maps" folder (the one you have copied in step 2) to the "HoS" folder. (...\Lock n Load Heroes of Stalingrad\MODS\HoS\Maps)
8. Unzip the Module #1 : Cold war file ("Cold-War-Mod.zip"). You should get four extracted folders ("art", "maps", "Mod Heroes of the Gap Honneur et Patrie" and "Stalingrad") and a file ("modules.dat"). Just copy these folders and file to the "CWM" folder (...\Lock n Load Heroes of Stalingrad\MODS\CWM)
9. Unzip the Module #2 : Heroes of the Pacific file ("Heroes-of-the-Pacific-Mod.zip"). You should get two extracted folders ("art", and "Mod Heroes of the Pacific") and a file ("modules.dat"). Just copy these folders and file to the "HotP" folder (...\Lock n Load Heroes of Stalingrad\MODS\HotP)

Enable the module you wish to play on the GME window. Don't forget to disable the mod you have selected before enabling other mod.

No, you do not have to dispatch the files in the different folder as it is done in the original program.
You just have to extract the files from the archive to the directory of the new game leaving the tree as in the archive.
This will copy almost all necessary files to the mod in the Heroes of the Pacific Mod folder.
Unfortunately, because of hard-coded paths for certain files (cards, hexe's art, TGA files ...), it is necessary to overwrite certain files that can only be replaced.

Just follow the instructions to the letter without trying to do as you thought to rearrange the files. It works well like that for now.

Otherwise, follow the instructions of VPaulus to make an installation by JSME ... It is more elegant.

By the way, thank you very much VPaulus, for your tutorial on installing mods with JSME.

Glad to ear this [:)]

I have already explained that I want to redo the scenarios for Heroes of the pacific, but it is the only boardgame in the Lock 'n Load series that I no longer own (I was really stupid to resell it or at least Not to have photocopied the scenarios...).
I searched all my hard drives and I did not find the scenarios I had already done for this mod.

This time it didnt overwrite any files in the copy folder when i extracted the files. Not sure where to move stuff. Copy original HOS folder>delete content of map folder>extract to new copied folder. Tried twice, no prompt to overwrite.

One curiosity.I have never seen before a mod folder into the game.Have you changed some file to allow the work of this folder?
Normally for the mod there was the custom folder.
Into the mod there are only 5 maps, but in the original game are more?

Tried twice, no prompt to overwrite.
The same for me and for this reason the question above.

I'm really sorry, when I created the zip archive I encapsulated the mod files in a folder named Heroes of the Pacific Mod by mistake ... which creates confusion in folder names when decompressing .

So I modified the file to download so that it decompressed in the same way as the mod Heroes of the Gap (module # 1).

If you want to be quiet, download the mod again (new file since this morning) and follow the installation procedure again.

the mod folder is created the first time you run JSME in HOS.Whatever game you install JSME in when you run it the first time it creates a mod folder.

In the largest magnifications, the hex coordinates (e.g., G7) don't align, and in some cases appear to be mismatched also (e.g., H9 superimposed on H8). Can this be fixed?

The problem only appears in the highest or second highest magnifications. At intermediate screen size and smaller, the problem goes away.

This is because the coordinates are printed on the picture that serves as a background map and the game adds its own coordinates over it.
So no, Unless we have access to what is hard-coded.
