Now that is Old Skool!

Quick question on houserule "4. No unit may deliberately move forward into isolated status (defined as being more than 99 MPs from a railhead). Units that are isolated due to being surrounded may only move towards supply. The only exception to this rule is air-landed units which may move in any way."

Is the common sense interpretation this applies only in clear weather and disregards partisan attacks? Taken literally it would mean no forward movement after a partisan attack or weather change. It could also be interpreted to mean no retreat either, whole armies frozen. I can understand the point about no Lgrad falling on turn 6 and a broad front strategy for a multiplayer game. But surely it was not meant to power up the effects of weather and partisans.

I'd think partisans particularly could be disregarded in this context.

Ok, the game is now in the "communications with Germany"-folder in the dropbox.

Exactly, not with units just terrain, city names etc. I downloaded one from here a while ago and have used it as a master copy for all those plans etc. Then lost it today. And just cannot find where in the forums it came from.

When the Soviet Union is defeated in the war that is not about to start we will remember who our friends were. [;)]

If there is any more detailed cartography, say, around Lgrad, Moscow, Sgrad, or geological maps showing ground able to bear, say, 30 tonne vehicles - they would also be remembered. Purely for scientific curiosity of course.

The peace loving people of the Soviet union have no need for 30t vehicles, therefore no maps. But here is a very detailed map collection of the Soviet railway system: http://www.soldat.ru/files/4/10/137/ (very interesting site, with detailed rail maps, alsow shows where the railway is single/double/tripletracked).

PH, Suggest you update the thread every so often by asking interested players to sign up as reserves. You'll almost certainly need them on one if not both sides before you're through.

Good idea. I was thinking about asking the Krauts to find a replacement for the missing player

Done and ongoing. On a regular basis I will make a post on it when no one else has. Personally I will go more for the angle of someone who is interested in non-AI games but apprehensive taking on a whole one on their own. Or deputies or smaller commands like the Finns with a view to getting people in so they then get more involved. I was also going to ask if you could put it in your sigs?

No news from Shonyu, not online since early march and no replies to email etc.
How is the current state of affairs? Have you (Axis Players) begun with your turn 1?
