April 3, 1939 : USSR, France, Britain, USA, China
The Soviet Union is pleased with the peace in Europe. The German buildup on Polish and Czechoslovak borders is worrisome because the USSR has no desire for a common border with Nazi Germany. These middle European states deserve their homeland.
France also wants stability in eastern Europe. We are dedicated to Polish statehood, and are worried about the German exploits there.
Great Britain calls on the Commonwealth to prepare to defend the Empire. The continuing war in China is disrupting Asia.
The United States also is concerned by the Pacific, and is taking steps to protect its interests there.
China continues to suffer from the strong Japanese attacks.
