Looks like Microprose is coming back and this is one of the first three games on board
Dobey455,
Do you know if this has any connection to Anachro's game "Task Force Admiral" (the subject of this thread) or is it an entirely different stand-alone game that Microprose is doing?
For games that really require the CD to be in a drive, those drives (external) are pretty cheap these days - maybe 15USD. I have a couple. Although I still really want to get my native pre-Win 8 machine operating properly again. But maybe tomorrow I will play around with DosBox. Depends on what the wife unit wants......
Another upcoming WW2 Naval Warfare title on Steam is War on the Sea. Made by the folks at Killerfish Games (Atlantic Fleet and Cold Waters).
I am a bit confused as to whether longtime KF designer Paul Sincock has parted ways with the firm or not. Heard some rumblings a couple months ago concerning it. Not sure though.
Regardless, if you enjoy commanding individual ships, this should be interesting. It will be real-time, so some won't care for it.
Take a look anyway, sure is purty!
Here are the actual details from the page on Steam:

Yes, I am also following War on the Sea as I loved their other sub game Cold Waters a lot, even if it was a bit simplistic. Another update for my most anticipated game...frankly this game can't come soon enough. Luckily, busy real life stuff keeps me distracted in the mean time.
Yes, and what's more, Wild Bill is at the helm. Perhaps he can talk Sid Meier into coming back for a few guest appearances. Those two got me hooked on wargaming for good.
