Nice, I was outside today for shopping. Streets are empty, no more cars on the road.
It's surreal.

And the silence, no more plane, ... nothing except few people in the street who changes the sidewalk so as not to meet you...

Indeed. Strange I hadn't noticed the lack of aircraft until you just mentioned it!

But yes, its weird, especially the people that either cross the road as you approach, or walk out into the middle of the road to keep the required distance - but then there's no need to worry about walking into the road because there are so few cars.

The buses continue to run but the drivers are transporting hardly anybody. I think three people on one bus was the most I saw today.

And outside just about every shop that is actually open - supermarket, pharmacy, a building supplier - there is a queue.

Strange times indeed....

It is exactly the same in Toronto. Thankfully, at the moment, the vast majority are respecting the precautions required. I do wonder what will happen when the weather starts to become sunny and warm.

We don't have that problem in the UK [:D]

I think that if we are still in lockdown in July/August - even June - then I'm not sure what the position will be amongst the general populace. We are already seeing - and have since the outset - people not taking this seriously, being anti-social and now we have numerous reports of ***** who think its a good idea to spit and/or breath at the elderly and shout that they have Coronavirus....

Times like this we see the best of humanity and the scum sucking pond life.

My wife and I took a walk to see the swans yesterday.
It was kind of eerie in a way. No fumes from buses and trucks. Unearthly quiet. Hardly any people. A shopping mall across the street with a few cars in the lot and some workers waiting at a bus stop, for one of the few buses running.

We noticed that our path, usually strewn with paper and other debris thrown on the ground, was clear and clean. We hoped that after all gets back to "normal" that people throwing their garbage on the ground would not be part of the new normal.

They could be charged with something like assault and if the elderly become ill and especially die, the charges could be much worse. Even if the pond scum does not have the virus.

She measures 6 inches (15cm) fore and aft and almost 4 inches (10cm) high.

Hopefully I'll be back at work before I finish HMS Victory... we'll see.

Just as we hope that it doesn't get worse, the deer trespass into the backyard and poop right in front of me! Is there no decency?

I used to paint 1/300th WWII airplanes. At that scale a Bf-109 could fit on a nickel. Now, at 66, I can't even see enough to paint. [8D]

Too bad they weren't bears? You'd be able to answer the age old question "does a bear sh*t in the woods?" with "No, they sh*t in my yard."
