A good turn for the U-Boats, 11 MS sunk at the cost of 2 U-Boats. But I am still a long way from putting the UK below the threshold it needs to carry all its resources and oil.

The Brits have been steadily reinforcing Egypt the last few turns. I am expecting an offensive there at about the same time as Barbarossa.

So long as the weather is clear Barbarossa will begin next turn. On the Russian border I have 8 German and 2 Italian Armour (with 1 more German armour arriving next turn), 3 German and 1 Italian Mechanized, 20 German, 2 Hungarian and 3 Rumanian Large Corps, 1 Paratrooper, 7 bombers and 5 fighters (including the Hungarian and Rumanian).

Forces and Casualties. I added 3 Corps and 2 air units to the map from my production after I took this screenshot. So my actual Land strength is 1356 and my Air strength is 280.

If you compare this with our mirror game you will see that there is very little difference in our Axis Force sizes. However, my German air force is much larger. The irony is that I am constantly griping about how air units are underpowered in the game, but I am also the only player I know who continues to build air units (not a lot but some). Meanwhile everyone else thinks that air units are not underpowered, yet they don't build any.

The other odd thing you will note if you compare this with our mirror game, is that even though the in this game Hadros lost more English, he has a larger army, more MS and more escorts. I can't explain that. I suppose it could be that he has not upgraded most of his units or built less armour/Mech. I don't know.

TECH ADVANCEMENTS

German Heavy Armour was advancing so fast I thought there was a good chance that I would have tech 42 but June 41. But in the last few turns it ahs hardly moved. Italian Heavy Armour is making good progress though, Big Whoop.

Move a German Mech up to Finland...and your paratrooper if youy can.

That is a LOT of fun and scary as you can cut off supply by all his mech pretty easy.

Good idea, but perhaps too late as I have already played a few turns before i read your advice.

9 MS and 2 escorts sunk and only 2 U-Boat hits. Not bad, but I still have a long way to go to put Hadros below his minimum number of U-Boats needed.

Rain rain everywhere delays Barbarossa.

Barbarossa begins. I match Hadros in our mirror game by destroying 11 Russian Corps. Surprisingly, the Russian air force was set to auto and there are several air battles won by the Axis. There do not seem to be that many Russian large corps. Certainly not as many as I built in our mirror game. But there are more Russian Mechanized and Mountain units. I think Hadros may have saved more production to build armies on his first turn. Guess I will find out in 5 turns or so.
