Red Chinese guerillas have cut the railroad leading to Paotow, but the intervention force is already on its way to reestablish order.
Allied ships (2 CA, 2 CL, DDs, DMS) bombarded Roi-Namur, sinking a small supply convoy in the process.
No counterattack at Singers, Japanese forces will sit still for a few days to lower disruption and recover disabled devices.
I shouldn't do turn late at night when I'm tired, it leads to stupid decisions. I have sent Combined Fleet to attack Soerabaja, a flycatcher surface TF to clear the path and a bombardment force to target Soerabaja airbase - counting on a stand-off range of 15k yards to minimise risks from mine fields. Also KB to bomb the airbase with the Kates and the port with the Vals, helped by LBA. On paper it was a good operation, the flycatchers sank a CA and a DD and the bombardment force some small fry, KB sank two subs in port and more small fry, a number of Allied planes got shot out of the skies or destroyed/damaged on the ground. However, while doing business, the bombardment force cleared seven mines the traditional way by spotting and shooting them- and nine more mines the hard way by ramming. No ship lost but repair yards will be busy and a sizeable part of Combined Fleet out of the war for weeks.
Despite this operation to suppress Soerabaja airbase, B-17s bombed Denpassar at night, damaging two CM in port, one will probably sink.
