Also...dont forget the record keeping software counts a plane lost on the return leg of the mission after suffering damage from flak or A2A attack as an operational loss (althought the attacking pilot still gets credit..I think). My guess is human record keepers would not assign this to operational loss.

-If you´re correct then the underestimation of operational losses in WiTP is even higher than the numbers suggest. However, it must be noticed that this low number is also related to the bloody air combat system that makes the RELATIVE number of casualties smaller.
