Rich,

Welcome aboard the "Matrix Train" Image

You'll find us to be a bit different from the rest..... we allow, and, in fact welcome, critique (just don't let it get personal...) as we honestly do believe that it's you wargamers that allow us to exist as a wargaming company (I know...what a concept ... Image ).

OK....well enough blather on my part....enjoy the Matrix experience. Image

Ok Ok all this is very nice, but in the meantime what's going to happen to WoN ? Before we all grow too exited and go soaring miles high, I would like to see a Napoleonic strategic game completed. In fact I don't care if it's Matrix or Talonsoft that makes it, as long as it's done well. Not like 1813 for instance. I do agree however it's difficult to do "kid's games" and wargames at the same time. Look at what Hasbro left over from Avalon Hill : it's a crying shame. But to put it briefly : WoN when ?

Ivan,

If you're looking for WoN...you may have a long wait....Matrix is not doing it (read the Frank Hunter press release), and I have no idea if any other game company has published a release date. So at the moment I'd say it's vaporware.

Let me say that first off I have almost no real time games, but I do not think that is what makes almost all RTS suck that I have seen or played. It is very simple. The time increments are too fast and they all become glorified arcade games. My main example of why I would like a real time element to a grand strategy games is that it is the only way to really get anywhere in multiplayer. I hate having to tell people to hurry up and hit end turn whether it be Imp1, 2, MOO2, or BofF to name just a few. The time for tedious micromanaging is solo play. I could say alot more on this subject, but I will wait till EU comes out and see if its what I have wanted,a strategy game that penalizes the indecisive, but not the uncoordinated.

Hello
as for EU, i have learned that the lowest time increment will be 5 min for 1 month so i believe it will slow enough to manage your country and plan strategies
