Hard way to learn.

I still cannot believe that this is possible in RL.
I think i read some thread long ago,i think Feinder set up a test. In that test Japanese tanks show better results against T-34,in RL that is impossible.

The Japanese Army would agree with you after their 1939 clash with Zuikhov. [:D]

Japanese tanks will suffer heavier losses on average when attacking stronger tank types such as T-34 however this is not Steel Panthers you are playing. In some cases (if the player chooses the right option), Japanese can suffer tremendous tank losses vs. none to the enemy. the game does not simply assume frontal/basic tank tactics however and tanks combined with other device types will often act as an enhancement factor. Attack and defense factors for devices play an important role in determining losses/damages but will not gurantee victory.

The Russians are fortified in defensive terrain. My opinion is that you're probably going to overcome them but it's going to take time and cost you a lot of troops. You're also going to need to commit a good number of aircraft to wear them down.

If those Russian units were sitting for any length of time you can rest assured they had at least 4 fort levels each....probably closer to 6. Combine that with forest terrain and alot of guns......ow.

In WW1 such numbers were massed in small areas to launch attacks, but only after months of preparation and logistical build up, using railway networks immediately behind the front lines to bring up the massive amounts of supplies and ammunition required.

AND ADVANCED 5 MILES AFTER 6 MONTHS OF FIGHTING WITH 500,000 DEAD ON BOTH SIDES.
