Memo from the Imperial Council:
Our occupation of our former concession of Tsingtao represents a permanent change of affairs in regards the coast of China. Any post-war settlement will require the dismantling of the Chinese fleet and removal of all coastal foreign concessions and ports (with the exception of ShangHai and Hong Kong). Post-war negotiations will seek to demilitarize Shang Hai and Hong Kong.
The Empire will no longer tolerate hostile naval forces so close to areas of vital interest.
Again we call upon the Americans to seek a peaceful settlement to this conflict. All US colonial possessions in our sphere of influence have fallen and the Empire stands ready to throw back any assault upon our possessions or sphere of influence.
War Bulletin 7/16/26:
The Imperial Army has reoccupied the concession in Tsingtao.
Manchurian forces skirmish with Chinese bandits at Tabun-Nur.

From the Office of the President, for Immediate Release:
"There will be no appeasement of the Japanese imperialist aggressor. While free peoples of Asia might currently be under the thumb of the Japanese invaders, they will not remain so for long. The United States will never abandon its allies, not to mention its citizens in the territories under illegal Japanese occupation."

RE: HONOR RULE: Shang Hai
ORIGINAL: Mike Carroll
Because Shang Hai is garrisoned with British and French troops a rule has been implemented to deal with it.
1. British and French troops must remain at Shang Hai.
2. Japanese Naval forces may bombard and launch air strikes at Shang Hai.
3. If Japanese land forces land in Shang Hai or in any way attack Shang Hai that will activate the British and the French.
4. Allied Naval and Land forces may freely move through and use Shang Hai.
This basic rule has been added to the scenario package.
Tientsin is being added to this rule. The British and French troops will stay there unless their country is activated. No restriction on the US 15th Infantry.

Am I the only one to think it's better to keep Avro 504Ks away from danger and keep them grounded so they cannot be lost? They are IMHO totally useless... Does anyone found a role they are good at?

I agree they do not appear to be to useful. One of the things I am looking at for the next version of the scenario is some improved aircraft to both sides. Just want to be careful not to make it too far from reality. My only thought is that war is a good spur to innovation and I believe that early lack of success for certain airframes would spur further development. Also Japan still has access to technology from the rest of the world so there may well be some improvements. I already added a longer range Felixstowe flying boat later in the game.

War Bulletin 7/27/26:
The Nagasaki which had so many hopes placed on it encountered some US destroyers near Pearl Harbor.
Note the Nagasaki has not launched even one torpedo so far. Wish she would have engaged the Destroyers with her 8" guns or give them a spread of torpedoes. I have the most aggressive Jap sub commander in charge. We will she if she does something/anything.
