Have to admit, I'm confused as to why Nik doesn't fire back at Canton, with all those guns.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

Oooookay . . . now it becomes a bit clearer. There sure are a LOT more IJA defenders than attackers. Still, it should build up the Allied experience levels a bit.

The enemy fell in our trap, as we left Kung Threp ungarrisoned in order to draw an enemy attack, now he took Taung Gy and is threatening Bangkok, but his overextended troops will be an easy prey to the well supplied and trained Japanese defenders. In Singapore, LBA attacks sank 6 enemy minor ships (3 minesweepers and 3 transports). The first attack at Malacca failed to take the city but caused significant damage to local defenses. Losses were minimal.

The enemy fell in our trap....

Official Allied response: "BAH!.....next stop.....Bangkok....Oriential city....one night in Bangkok and the world's your oyseter......"
The first attack at Malacca failed to take the city but caused significant damage to local defenses.

Said the heartbroken Yamashita as he surveyed a field littered with Japanese casualties and dead in a lame attempt to save face for his DEFEAT!

Three cheers (well maybe one half-hearted cheer) for the Chinese gunners finally getting the range!
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

A mixed turn

Post by Bombur »

-General Yamashita denied that the Japanese were against defeated in Malacca, he aknowledged, however, that resistance was stronger than expected and a a few infantry squads are disabled. Over Brunei, the P-40´s took heavy losses against a mixed formation of Zeroes and Oscars. No less than 8 P-40´s lost, with 6 pilots captured and 2 dead, against only a Zero and a Oscar shot down. In Bangkok, the emeny assault was easily repulsed

The war goes on

Post by Bombur »

-Enemy troops are fleeing back to Burma after their shameful defeat in the hands of base forces in Thailand. Meanwhile, plans are being drawn to deal with that minor inconvenience at Malacca. Air combat over Brunei resulted in a draw (4 P-40´s vs 4 Oscars lost). The Army is worried about the poor combat performance of the Ki-43 I. Some squadrons commanders are blaming Nik....[:D][:D][:D][:D].

Enemy troops are fleeing back to Burma after their shameful defeat in the hands of base forces in Thailand.

Translation: Valiant Commonwealth forces, after a successful incursion into enemy occupied territory, chose to withdrawl after the Japanese managed to desperately race up troops from Saigon to reinforce Bangkok. A scare more than successfully put into the enemy, our boys return to base for beer and maybe some Shepard's Pie.

Yum.

Imperial palace, Tokyo, 12/24/42, 3:00 AM

-Yamamoto: I have a question.
-Emperor Bombur: Yes?
-Yamamoto: Why all of our dialogues happen at 3:00 AM?
-Emperor Bombur: Well, Samurais never sleep....I actually want to talk with you about the war. It seems the liberation is going somewhat slower than planned.
-Yamamoto: It´s all the Army´s fault, the Navy´s performance is excellent
-Tojo:Hmmmmmm...what about that stupid idea of sending DD´s to Malaya straits in order to make a naval bombardment of Malacca..
-Yamamoto:We actually were forced to do this after the horrendous performance of your troops in Malacca....
-Tojo: Well, the Blenheim that evaded your fighter defenses and hit the Zuikaku was also a result of the Army´s bad performance , right?
-Yamamoto: It was only a near miss....
-Emperor Bombur: Btw, what about our first convoy bringing oil to te homeland?
-Yamamoto...eeerrrr....one of our Tankers was hit by enemy Swordfishes near Brunei, the enemy seem to have sent a British Carrier there
-Emperor Bombur: Any good news?
-Tojo: Yes, our troops already reached Clark Field
-Yamamoto: Two weeks after schedule.....
-Tojo: We also took Miri, but these resources won´t be useful if the Navy fails to protect our convoys
-Emperor Bombur: What about the Oscars?
-Tojo: Well, we have definite proof that Nik screwed the Oscars, they only shot down 7 planes up to now
-Emperor Bombur: This is bad, withouth the Uber Tojo and with a screwed Oscar we will have troubles. But where is the definite proof you mentioned?
-Tojo: Here (shows a piece of paper to the Emperor)
-Emperor Bombur: What is that?
-Tojo: A message to you, from President Nikademus
-Emperor Bombur (reading): "Oscar sucks" Hmmmmm......it seems the IJAAF is in deep trouble
-Yamamoto: Well, we could escort the Oscars with Zeroes. (to Tojo) I always told you the Oscar was poorly armed
-Tojo: It worked pretty well in v5.x
-Emperor Bombur: Gentlemen, I kindly suggest you to clean up all the mess you´re doing, otherwise someone will be invited to commit seppuku....
