Hummm....as the vicious AFB am I , I see you will need a bit more garrison forces at Burma, At least 1/2 div more per base. With that you will be safe...
RE: AE Historical Game Project. Cantona2 (allied) vs Fletcher (Jap)
Hello Traskott,
Thanks for the advice,
As you know, I have 5th, 18th, 33rd, 55th and 56th Infantry divisions supported by 3 tank regiments and numerous arty and support units at Burma yet.
I will redeploy 30th and Gds Division in a near future (two-three months). I will not planned to cross Indian/Burma borders but I will defend any inch into Burma when allied will be pull out from this area.
With 3rd Air Division (3rd Air Army HQ later) in this area with more than 200 aircrafts deployed and several AA units garrisoning my main airfield with high level of fortify I hope stop any CW counterstrike at ending of 1942 or beginning of 1943. Remember we have severely restricted H.R. for this scen, with news H.R. from Monsoon (thanks to John3rd).
I will have a mobile ground reserve with my tanks/recon regiments in the rear area with better (crack) infantry troops and several units deployed in the border bases or near to border bases to avoid enemy movements into Burma.
This is my planning for this theatre thinking to isolate China by ground and air and fortify the Burmese border. China theatre would let me great victories but this is near to impossible at Burma theatre. As you know I am thinking in a fierce defense
Best wishes, and thanks for posting and ask
Ramón
HR regarding Monsoon:
- No deliberate or shock attack in the jungle hexs in the designated area
- Bombardment attacks are still allowed
- Movement into friendly or empty hexes are still allowed
- No offensive carrier operations in the Gulf of Bengal against Burma (other naval ops, including bombardment, are still allowed). Striking either Bengal, Northern India or Malaya from carriers in the Gulf is still allowed, of course.
Hexes would be corresponding to everything above the "Thailand" label within Burmese and Thailandese borders + the few jungle hexes going 3 or 4 hexes into "India" (Kohima, Ledo, Imphal area) [/u]
