Are we on the same page now? [:)]

Yes - I forgot that the TRS had picked up a division.
No. The TRS already was in the sea area and couldn't pick up a unit. I think it was Pola who picked up the div (if I read that picture right).

I aborted the TRS because it was giving the Italians sea supply. With it aborted, the sea supply is gone as well. The possibility of aborting the TRS was the main, or maybe even the only, reason that CW stayed for a second round.

Yeah, I knew that..... [;)]

Would have been nice if we at least one of the combat rounds could have rolled a one during the search. The Axis after all roll a one 50% of the naval search rolls.

Now they just need to fail completely at everything they do and end the turn.

Maybe I can at least dream that. [:D]

I guess it was a bit of swings and roundabouts. We were very unlucky with the search throws, but we could have been hit worse in the air.

We could really do with the weather turning in the Med or - better still - these long turns being shortened.....

I assume Mayhemizer was joking re the Peacekeepers rule, but clearly need to have agreement on that ahead of any possible move against the Finns.

Well you have done good. Just the pressure on Finland drew a response. Though most of the Spanish front was flipped anyway the 2 Combineds were hardly a way to pursue the Spanish war vigorously. Re-embarking the Italian infantry division seems like a waffling move - keep up the pressure somehow, somewhere. Soon it could be your war to press. Holding in Nantes and Bayonne has paid some dividends.

The Allied fleets are due for a good search roll - don't forget to say Blub, blub, blub just like Harry does when it happens. Be careful if their NAVs start concentrating somewhere though.

Well, with 2 GE corps ready to reinforce Finland, its harder, but a summer offensive dependes on how long (many impulses) the USSR Airforce can support with out facing real GE Airforce opposition.

I still don't like the idea of actually going to war in Finland. The 1.8 US entry chits has always been a deal breaker for me.

You were unlucky on your search rolls, but you made your damage rolls. Losing the Ark Royal for a couple of turns is not that bad, and it costs the Italians just as much to repair their battleship as it does you to repair the Ark Royal. Eventually, Allied production superiority will begin to show itself.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

Indeed.

Although I would have liked the Spanish transporter to survive at least one turn. [:D]

I think USSR should consider placing all their pact chits as offensive and change their defensive to offense from now on.

As I understand it we do not plan to avoid a '41 attack by stuffing the border? And if it is so then we should change from defensive to offence. In my humble opinion, that is.

Here are my Soviet orders.

Soviets
Offensive Neutrality Chit
Breakdown 5-3 INF in Bessarabia into 2-3 and 1-5 MOT

MECH
INF
PILOT

Reinforcement:

Its a shame we cannot get Mao involved again. The Japanese have left a nice gap in the north that is begging to be exploited.....[;)]

What do you think about getting some BP to the French? Still too early?

No, it is not to early. I'll take a look at the convoy system and see if it can take the strain.

US tries to send two build points to France. But if they arrive is another story.

Two questions if I may Ormster old chap:

1. Is this information for general consumption or do you want to keep it secret?

2. Why have you pulled out so many 1's in the Ge/It pool?

1) It is top secret information. For "eyes only" and may not be copied or printed. Restricted to UK and US military only.

2) I wondered that myself. But when the chit average got lower we begun drawing better chits. Go figure. And the Axis was kind enough to help us by giving us so many chits lately.

Who are you trying to kid. Everyone knows that the Soviet, French and Chinese Communist leaders see the documents as fast as the US and UK leaders. If not faster. Spying on Allies is a way to ensure trust among friends.

Kidding aside. I think that there are now so many entry chits in the German Pool that we can afford to lose a couple on a Finnish war, if you want to have a go at it.

Edit: Both pools are above 22 and I think they will remain above 22 even if we move some chits to the tension pool. So as long as we do not lose the 4 I think we can take the war penalty and still manage to gear up.

Okay. Obviously bad news that they get first turn again but lets see how that pans out. If you are sure about the Finnish front the yeah, why not?
