With the major fleet elements firly punished, and more on the way the next base attack is being loaded up! It sure is nice having a size 4 base at Amai, 24 flying out of there and all..
China gets to rest as most planes are standing down in waiting to reloacate and Fochow forces are resting for the destruction ofthose Jap forces and /or the next base attack Wenchow? Tokyo?

No for sure known results till well after these types of turns.. but Musashi is listed as Sunk.. and her sister should join the lists...

I took a pix butthe stupi putr savee some word doc when I finally got to put in in irfanview.. oops! I invaded a small island called Ikitsuki.. why.. why??

WHY? Beacause it can go to a huge port and airbase, is one hex from JApan and Puson and will be easy.... like hitting and egg with a sledge hammer.. I guess he didn't see me coming, or didnot car to lose more troops ... Fochow is a level six now.. soon to reach 7...

daily poundings of fleats and ports and cities keep the totals rising.. I may be around 15k ahead??? maybe less.. looks more and more likely I will be looking at an invasion ofthe home Islands soon!

I am more convinced than ever that BBs do not do enough damage to CAs, CLs and DDs in this game.

I am not so much concerned about the fight between the twins and Massachusetts, since there was a BB on each side, but the fight between the DD group and Kongo and Haruna is pretty typical of the game, but not at all typical of the war.

I am still amazed by Zeta's ability to hit back this late in the war.

Might I suggest when posting combat replays that you at least cut out the "3 x B-29 bombing at XXXX feet" parts.

Good point.. kind of silly aren't hey?
Fochow now at 7 and growing air size... 17k and rising, and two new in Japan attacks under planning and troop organization.. since the distances are so short.. I may do them simultaniusly...
Tom, Zeta, pulled back his fleets and his air, so while he is doing great, he also lost huge tracts of land in 43 44 as a result.. although his point is worth noting that is is very hard to defend in that time frame... B29 really turn cities to dust when flown in large groups..

per above advice I am deleating excranious results....

The mighty and well armed and fed Chinese Armies roll on, took another base in Northern China and it is one of those satisafying things after seeing the Japs beet up on the Chinese for so long... I have obliterated almost all resources.. so after the supplies on board are gone Z will have his problems, expecting to be in Japan by April, it is 03 24 45

Tom a not on those combat with BB and DD many of his where damaged, so it is difficult to tell exactly how those results came about.. just a note

More bombs fall on Japan today..
preping for several points in the home islands with two or three points of attack.. will continue to build up "I" recently invaded as my forward base...
note below the ships lost points have leveled off between us I have spend many points in air losses and his land lcu losses are rising..
about 18k now.. and if he recieved no more points I would need about 41k, which would at this pace be about December, fortunately the pace is , and will continue to be non linier, ie think a small exponential curve .. I would say he may be in the low 60k range, minus base losses, and it should be July -Sept.. I have no IDEA how the a bomb will affect the score..

here is the most recent japan pix:

Interesting. The allies are still down in number of planes lost. And amazingly close in numbers lost a2a. I would say off-hand that you are not very kind to your airforce. Your op-losses would seem to indicate that you run your boys ragged.

And you are still 5k behind in army loss points. With all those troops caught in the PI I would have thought this number would have moved in your favor.

The numbers really are harsh, and Z just lost anouther 100k at fochow which died rather than retreated.. can out of supply units get a retreat in combat?

I trade planes for enemy suppression, ships and now hi, but in 43 44 I lost a LOOT of planes...

NOTE the invasion has begun!!!! Last few opertunities to win the great invasion contest....
which currently has aonly a 2 and a 1 scored..
so where will I hit? note if I land it next to a base counts as the base to be attacked if not
actually landing on a base? REMEMBER a free game comes to the contest winner

I decided that he relly has no effective airforce.. afew hundred planes.. maybe a thousand.. as I get close in the will desolve in the ruins of their bases...
mighty airbase I will become the b29 base.. Amani hase staged 24 and other twins and tactical torp and db and fb.. has just about run out of targets...
advantage near or past 19k.. I am getting about 500 points per turn and increasing ...

third picture went yaya?? It had the dailies.. up to 22 plus advantage 82k 60k..
pounding the daylights out of his remaining bases in japan...
03 27 05

There are three large forces.. for the long time reader remember the three forces in 44?
Well, there is the victors of Fochow.. nothing left of the japs there btw, those guys in "I" that little island near Puson, and those already on transports headed into the clear terrain near OSAKA!!!! DEATH TO THE EMPIRE~!!!!! LONG LIVE THE JEDI..er I MEAN FORCES OF THE ALLIED NATIONS[:D][:D]

once "I" and Osaka airbases come online.. the wave of anhialation will move to the last of the remaining northern JUapanese bases which are relatively safe due to my inability to reach them with fighter escorts from Iwo or Amami...

It is 03 31, the 03 30 score at apx 60k to 83.5k quite a jump
Z has 45k troops in Osaka, I will aparently take Wenchow as Z abandoned it in the night..
I looked at Fuchow t oget an idea of the forces there nearly 900k in support troops, tons of armor and artillery.. so very very much... am now going to massively move these guys, excluding some commenweatlth and chineese, to Japan and start gobblig up bases there...

just saw the new op report, b29s grounded, no loss aas they are really hurting in the moral area ... I am sending what seems to be thousands of ships to China to get the troops out for the next wave hitting above Osaka and cutting Japan in two...
I did not realize I had 1000k men wow... lots of artillery and tanks will be shipped, and it probably will take tile June just to ship all this stuff, but what get there will be well fedd and have plenty of air covver , they Jap air force is a empty shell as is the navy.... several hundred minor combatents and merchies remain, but no threats... Itsakuri is still building as a forward base, and when it gets big enough LOTS of planes will go there to support the third wave as troops hit northern china and Korea... I am seeing how pushing through the PI and SRA, as well as up the coast from Burma to Wenchow has served my land forces well, many are in the elite catagory one usually seeing only in the marines...

I just do not see the Japs holding out much longer .. I probably will not use the A bombs unless provoked.. My origonal plan was to slowly build up and maybe attack that southern Island that has two bases, but after seeing how much I have in China and how little resistance they are facing, and how few troops are actually in Japan... remember if Z moves all to Osaka, I can simply besige them and land anouther wave in another base cutting them off... the juicy targets are to the North! Maybe I will take some marines to Saporo after Osaka falls and advance on Tokyo from both directions

Osaka will be a tough nut to crack. With the urban bonus and probably a lot of troops, it'll be a bloody battle. If you succeed, you'll be doing great.

I think I would have picked a base that wasn't urban for the first battle. Once you've got your first base on the islands, the rest will fall fairly easy. But that first one will be tough. You'll have to keep unloading supplies. You might have to unload supplies in the Osaka hex until the base is captured.

I'm reading with anticipation. Epic battles are great to watch.
The older I get, the better I was.

I findthat overland out of cultivated is fine for supplies.. I am also attacking north of there at Matsue.. and if all the troops in the west converge there I will land where "he aint"

I agree that urban will be tougher, yet I can bomb these guys every turn..
b29 did fly 04 02 05 Allied aircraft
B-29 Superfortress x 593

Allied aircraft losses
B-29 Superfortress: 5 damaged

Manpower hits 1074
One has just got to leave these monsters of the sky

Remember I have a HUGE army in costal china all rested and reqdy to go.. afew small hexes as compared to crossing the pacific in some of the more long reaching attacks.

Matsue is only three or four hex from Ikastiri and "I" is now a four headed to a size 7 airfield... so watch out.. soon I will have 25 armored units and 30 plus artilery and what like 45 infantry? lots of air cover and just no hope whatsoever of stopping them.. slowing them.. of course.. but not stopping them.. the only thing that could do that would be a 5000 plane ija airforce flying 90 experience level super weapons... lots of supplies etc..

Osaka may be the thing I need to break the will of the Japs too, at 172k troops... as of the lates combat report, he does have some strength there....
