I found an air group to send to Guadacanal to confront the Lexington fighter group at holy ghost. The Ominato air group is one of
the larger groups ( 33 planes ) and they have a proficiency of 100% which is almost as good as you can get I think. Also, they are
veterans and are probably one of the best squadrons I have so far. The problem is that the Lexington group is probably about 70
strong. I may need some more help yet. Let's give the code name Cactus to Guadacanal because I'm used to that.

I tried an aerial strike against Corregidor and lost a bunch of planes and didn't scratch the Allied paint. So I'm thinking I'm going to
have to bring in the battleships. That would put a hold on my expansionst plans in south Pacific unless I split up the fleet. Sounds
like a good idea. Some of those BB's could use a rest anyway.

Here's north China now. I'm not making much headway in this AO. I'm thinking I might need some arty to subdue these
savages. I'll take a look around and see what's available.

I got lucky this time. I drove my CA adjacent to an Allied hex that contained aircraft hoping that I could kill them before they killed
me. I lost a CL doing this so I was apprehensive to say the least. It turned out that the hex contained some PBY's and spotter
planes. This time. Next time it could be some SBD's and I'll lose my ship trying this against them.

I was curious and started looking around for some good targets and I happened to notice that the CD guns are missing from
Singapore. I'm guessing that it got into a duel w/ one or more of my ships and lost the duel. At any rate, now that they are
missing can bring in the ships and do some airfield attacks with impunity. Almost. The problem remains the British aircraft.
But I've got lots of air cover so maybe it won't be that much of a problem.

I was driving my ship from the Darwin area to the Port Moresby area and I got interdicted and my AS dudes were awake and
protected my ship. All the Allied attackers were shot down. Jap air power saved the day. I plan to drive back and forth with
this ship in this area a lot.

And I drove my ship one hex closer to PM and got intercepted again and again the Allied side lost a bunch.

One of my spotter planes volunteered to do an airfield strike on an Allied base. He's probably going to get shot down. I'll let you
know what happens.

EDIT: The Jake was included in the list of stuff that attacked but didn't even get it's paint scratched. He says he wants to do it again.
I'm thinking about it.

Why did the Soviets become active? Were they accidently triggered again? It really seems like there needs to be an exclusion zone around Soviet territory to prevent this.

Surely they are not free to attack without being provoked?

So um...what is it that makes you think they were triggered AGAIN Narses dude? Did I miss a memo? I agree about the
exclusion zone though. And yeah, Tom and I made some kind of house rule that the Soviet stuff just stands it's ground when
this happens.

Here's Vietnam now with me trying to put the kabosh on those partisans. They seem to be everywhere. The ones in the image
are only the visible ones.

I think maybe I've gotten all the holes stopped up in south China. I think a partisan could still get through in places. The front here
is stable so far. I'm going to need a lot more troops to get it moving north I think.

And then I attacked with my spotter plane and it didn't get a scratch but there was a tremendous fur ball going on in the sky. I shot
down 11 of the best Wildcats the Navy had. I think.

EDIT: I mean since they were from the Lexington Fighter Group.

And another follow up airstrike by the spotter plane. This is what I'm talking about. 2 losses for a bunch.

Here's Port Moresby now. I came across the mountains and now I'm in position to lay siege sort of. I'm going to need a lot more
people I suspect. Depending on how powerful my air power can get.

I thought maybe I should apply the naval part of the siege and maybe do a bombardment while I was at it. But first an airfield attack
in conjunction with a timely air strike on the airfield as well all combined to give some good results.

It's early in my turn and I'm still moving units and I've run across a CA that's bailing water over it's scuttles. It's as sunk as it can get
without dissappearing from the surface. And it's either never had any AA guns or it's so damaged that it lost them. D'oh.

Okay, new turn new moves. This is what Malaya looks like now. I'm not moving and the Allies are getting stronger. I'm going to need
some more people to get this advance advancing again. I'm trying to scratch together some more troops for Burma but they are still
being used in north China. This is the first time I've run into not enough troops to go around. There's still a division in Manila that's
resting and will be ready soon. That's something.

I drove a TF of 5 BB's and 1 DD to the mouth of the Manila harbor to bombard the island of Corregidor and I did one of those
group assignments to do the attack. Then looking through the stack later I found the spotter plane assigned to the attack as
well as the ships. I can't prove it but I think the spotter plane got included in the attack group assignment.

And a second attack kills another DD but still not even a scratch on the paint on the Allied units. D'oh.
