54 weather

Post by BrianG »

July mud is now forecast for middle region.

This is not good news for the russian units about to be cut off and then chopped up.

I spotted an Artilary division, or brigade, [:-] and had to attack.

More reasons to not attack

This was my 3rd attack in my attempts to surround major Russian contingent.

This whole breakthru was done based on opportunity imo.

He pushed aside 1 or 2 weak units and some Rumanians and walla he had a big whole.

I think you're missing a lot of breakthrough potential with that many panzer divisions in the north in bad terrain. I guess the reasoning for the huge Leningrad operation is to capture the closest hexes to Berlin?

I thought you'd have diverted most of the panzers south after Volkhov river was crossed, but seems like you're really intent on taking Leningrad quickly and for good :)

I was making sure that Leningrad will be cut from supply for Good! Plus RR capacity is clearly not enough to move all these tanks. Some at a time. Tank units after cut will be shipped south asap.

Cavalry to the front. Looks like a Budyonny special. The Russian had a flash back to his Civil War days.

It was a very nice WW1 advance. Alas, we are in WW2.

Russians make good attempt to breakthrough to trapped units. I think these Guard Cav divisions came from a split up guards corp.

And in Leningrad we find 4 trapped Army hq's. I will bomb and try and kill generals.

61 23 and 2 others. One I think is a shell hq.

My Airlanding divisions departs with the following record. I always seem to underutilize this unit.
