Turn 13. Sep/Oct 1941.

Initiative.

The axis win the initiative for the critical Sep/Oct 1941 turn and decide to move first. This gives them two impulses in a row since last turn ended at the end of their impulse. Now comes the all critical weather roll. If it gives the axis fine weather in the arctic and north temperate then the Soviets are most likely toast. Even without fine weather they may still turn out to be toast.

Turn 13. Sep/Oct 1941. Allied #3.

Actions. China - land, Great Britain - naval, Free France - naval, USA - combine, USSR - land.

Allied Convoys and Great Britain Production. Allies have gotten the convoy routes they way they want them. However, just closing and reopening the production form messes them up. So, barring any CP losses, the allies will ENSURE that production and oil saved matches these routes. What else can one do?

Turn 13. Sep/Oct 1941. Allied #3.

USSR. Eastern Europe. Dire, very dire!

To even stand a chance the Soviets need rain in both the arctic and north temperate. Better yet, storms in both. With a +1 weather roll modifier, rain in both happens on rolls of 6 or 7. Storms in the arctic or in both happen on rolls of 8, 9 or 10. However, a rolls of 8, 9 or 10 would produce rain in the Med and through a monkey wrench into the allied invasion plans off the Italian Coast. Though, this would be much preferred over a roll of less than 6 which would produce fine weather in the north temperate and rain or fine (<3) in the arctic.

Weather. The weather roll is a 7, which produces rain in both the arctic and north temperate and fine in the Med.

Turn 13. Sep/Oct 1941. Axis #5.

Actions. Germany - land, Italy - combine, Japan - land.

The Italian Coast. The actions of the British off the Italian Coast forced Italy to take a combine in order to get Sicily fully back in supply and to use their two land moves to ensure that all hexes on Sicily are covered by a ZOC. Also, Germany used two of her three rail moves to move a garrison and MIL into Italy to bolster her defenses.

Italy uses her naval move to move a supply task force out to the 1-box. The force could have moved into the 3-box, however, since the 1-box is reachable by an Italian fighter group the supply force was moved there in order to gain the benefit of fighter cover.

The Italian decide not to initiate but, the RN/French do. The searches fail and, for now, the Italians have supply flowing fully to Sicily.
