A few thousand more if you count some Seabees and a small assault unit for Bathurst Is and some AA for Darwin.

That will consume all of our fast xAK's and fast AK's. I figure we can load some 12kt xAK with supplies and start them 2 days earlier. More fast AK's coming down from Townsville and Horn Is.

I had a Japanese AMC sink the CA Salt Lake with a single penetrating (!) shot that set off a magazine in my AI game (Ironman - maybe they juiced up the AMCs). One of those 15cm YM something or other jobbies.

The AMC did not survive to tell the tale.

Some AMCs have troop capacity so you can use them in amph tfs and those 6inch guns can maybe do some suppression. (but probably have the same upload rate as xAPs - I'd have to look in the manual!)

Not so unreal - the German AMC Kormoran sank CL Sydney with gunfire and torpedos - Sydney blew up when fires reached her magazines, but not before fatally damaging Kormoran. There were no survivors from Sydney. See link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_bet ... r_Kormoran

Capt Mandrake your last three posts seem to indicate that there is a detailed plan brewing for the invasion of Darwin. This seems somewhat at odds with the AAR and risks informing your readers that you've actually planned (despite evidence to the contrary) some of the actions reported with much slapstick and mirth on the preceding pages.

I agree. Paying attention to planning? Reading the manual? In other words, doing everything opposite from what has made this thread great?

Fully agree.

It's hard to use AMCs in a raiding role as they were used historically (i.e. wolves in sheep's clothing) since search planes will report them as being armed and then it's pointless.

Instead I use them in exactly that role, carrying troops or supplies in an invasion TF and using it's armament to suppress shore defenses.

11 x B-17 at Merauke tasked to bomb the airfield at Sorong today.

The are 14 x Hudson III at Merauke on naval attack and can reach Dobo. Some LB-30's at Horn Is can also reach Dobo.

The remainder of 503rd Para Rgt will try to drop on Dobo today. The Leander/Detroit group is headed north from Horn Is.. Portland is headed north from Sydney.

I have to believe there is a SCTF supporting the transports that is unspotted. If we are able to build up the airfield it will still be highly vulnerable to a night surface bombardment. Yamato is still in action. As for the apparent amphbious taffy headed toward Dobo, seems to me they are going to need an entire division as they cannot possibly be prepped for invasion and the defenders are no slouches.

I think JJ will be in for a nasty surprise when Gove becomes operational (probably tomorrow). Then they will have two airfields to suppress.

Which data? Tracker can export most of its displays to .csv files. The scenario files can be exported to .csv files.

Dude....erm...Lord Admiral dude...aren't Combat Reports, OPS reports, Intel reports (Allied and Jap) and a host of other reports exported as .txt files into the SAVE folder in AE?

No, I was going through the ships sunk list and had it listed by "Sunk Nr" and was wondering how to export that list. The list for "Near Port Hedland" is quite large...
