RE: THE THREAD!!!
It was the same back in the 80s when I was a ROTC cadet with the Army then with the Air Force...always 2 minutes for both push ups and sit ups. I think pull ups were only 1 minute. I don't know anyone that ever went the full two minutes on push ups, even as a cadet, you'd either crap out after a minute or so, or do enough to max out on the score.ORIGINAL: Mike Solli

I hear ya, Dixie. Actually, at 50 (yeah, I'm old[:D]) it 25 push ups minimum in 2 min, 30 sit ups in 2 min and 19:30 to run 2 miles. I can do it but my old creaky body doesn't like it the next day. [:D]
2 minutes? Good grief man, I could go for a walk and come back before starting my push-ups [:D]
Yeah, I rarely go more than a minute and get to about 50 and stop. I can actually stop and walk in the middle of the run and still make it. What's emparassing is all the people that can't pass. [X(]
The 600 yard run was always my best.

Chris!!! Good to see you!

Got 'volunteered' to fry two turkeys for my wife's work. Nurses work today as usual but they always have a huge feast everyone contributes to. Good food. And the turkey was done right too. [:'(]
Tell you what though. Keep anything you cherish that looks edible hidden from those wenches. [X(][X(][X(]
Yep, I think I have the info I need now to retrieve it. *fingers crossed* I think I registered the number, but I'm not sure it was to this account. When I had some trouble logging in around the time I bought this game....not sure why I decided not to capitalize niceguy [8|]
...and I know what you mean. I think I've heard somewhere that nurses have a penchant for eating. [;)]

Getting cold...go figure. [:D]
Actually, it's not bad. The town I'm in is very liveable, friendly, clean and surprisingly hilly. Work is going well so far.
Edit: Also just moved into a new house on a lake.

Hiya, Dez. Had us a nice family meal of turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, homemade dinner rolls and-of course-a nice New Zealand white wine. Aside: you guys make some fine Pinot Noirs too-got some of that in the cupboard.
For dessert, homemade pumpkin / squash pie, pecan pie and whipped cream. Some bourbon to chase.
Delicious.
Now I'm ready for a turn in my inbox.

Not to toot my own horn here, but...
I figured that the goofballs and reprobates in THE THREAD!!! may appreciate the goofball and reprobate humor I embraced in the "Pilot training button" thread on the main AE page. Just a heads up.[:D]
