Not to toot my own horn here, but...

I figured that the goofballs and reprobates in THE THREAD!!! may appreciate the goofball and reprobate humor I embraced in the "Pilot training button" thread on the main AE page. Just a heads up.[:D]

Definitely an effort on a level with Cuttlefish or Mandrake...

Hiya, Dez. Had us a nice family meal of turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, homemade dinner rolls and-of course-a nice New Zealand white wine. Aside: you guys make some fine Pinot Noirs too-got some of that in the cupboard.

For dessert, homemade pumpkin / squash pie, pecan pie and whipped cream. Some bourbon to chase.

Delicious.

Now I'm ready for a turn in my inbox.
Yep. Some knucklehead decided it would be a hilarious idea to offer me a good job in Iowa. :P I started last April and I've been somewhat nomadic ever since. Now I'm leasing a house through the end of May.

The lovely town of Dubuque. [:D]

Actually Scott, a lot of Coloradans have relocated here, at least temporarily. So, watch out, or you might get sucked back in. [:'(]

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to all my brothers of the American persuasion. Try to stop eating just before your underpants burst.[:)]

A couple of friends have worked there in the past and really liked Dubuque.

Hi Dixie! What do you have to do for your test? At my age, I have to get in the push up position, 2 sit ups and tie my shoes for the run. [:D]

It's a max effort thing, as it turns out my max effort is exactly the minimum score I need to pass [:D] Until I'm 30, it's lvl 9.10 on the shuttle run, 20 press-ups in 1 minute and 35 sit-ups in 1 minute. When I get to 30, I'll need 9.04 on the shuttles and 18(?) press ups and 30(?) sit ups.

Previously (3 years ago) the age groups were different and the levels were lower. When I turned 25 my level was level 8.10 on the run, 13 press ups and 30 sit-us. Now I'm older the levels are higher [X(] I can pass it, but I struggle 'cos I'm not built for speed [:D]

It used to be as many push ups, sit ups as you could do, a standing jump (why?) and then 1 1/2 miles in less than 12 minutes. And then a swimming test, 100 yds in overalls and tread water for 5 minutes.

Morning friends !!

Your talk about sport is tiring me [;)].

My car is damaged....trouble with all the electronic stuff in the engine (and i used to buy the model with the less electronic stuff [8|] ), and i can't accelerate [:@]. I just avoided a colliding with a truck when i realized i could not give power.
Hopefully, it won't cost me too much because under warranty

Had Claire home tonight for a "short time" : at 7 pm she was sleeping [:D]. But that was good !!
And Yuri, thanks thanks thanks for the flower idea, she appreciated [:)]

Winter has kicked off here as well.

Same here... winter has come...

Until last week we had almost +20 degrees Centigrade and now it finally dropped around 0 (i.e. freezing)...

It's 78 DegF here[8D]

It is not fair... your weather should not count... [:D]
