Reason we can't (not don't, but can't) talk politics is that our private thoughts are never far from the surface. We gloss it over in conversation, by asides and inuendo, but giving any of us an opportunity to say what we truly think, would reveal just how truly afraid we really are (speaking only for myself). And that would open the door into the abyss.

Please keep it light, my friend, at least here on THE THREAD!!! I think you know us by now, at least some of us. When I just can't contain myself, I hit the pm button and have myself a nuclear episode with someone who is sympatico. Feel free droog! J

I'm trying to attract a more upmarket client-base. Quite frankly the riff-raff and commoners have been far too evident of late. We need to bring in more members from the centre of culture and breeding that is Great Britain (God Save the Queen*).
Some more English gentlemen would add to the tone of The Thread, as well as providing an air of sophisticated breeding and good manners.

You speak German as I remember. German Media is aready full with that "Allahu Akbar before shooting". The rest (pro suicidal attacks, muslims should rise, etc.) is also all around the media.

Torsten, there is no doubt that this story is all over the media. We have worked hard for many years to try to keep THE THREAD!!! a place where we can come on the internet to get away from all politics. There are lots of places that the subject can be discussed, but this is a "happy place", and we want to keep it that way. [:)]
