How did the loss of all of those troops and devices in Chungking change the VPs? Tough to go down like that but you sure caused a lot of damage to the Japanese. That investment there may cause ramifications years to come for them, especially if they don't' get recompensed by any industry left in Chungking and Chengtu. How did that fare through the siege?

From the last picture, it looks like you still hold Chengtu. So all your destroyed Chinese units should regenerate at Chengtu. Do you have good forts there? Is he planning on getting the VP a second time by destroying the troops again?

Thanks Koniu for the compliment. Shokaku took two fish in the Coral Sea in February; it was a Dutch sub, I had high hopes. Damn Obvert, I hope it hurt him in the manpower department. That was a bloody mess at Chungking, and frankly, the whole Chinese affair has seen some gruesome days in terms of losses for both sides. Chengtu is only at level three forts with a mediocre garrison. I only hope to bleed him more and delay as long as possible. I want to get into his head soon and give him whiplash.

I will bet all my money that Shokaku is already in service or days from.
Of course we always need to remember about extreme situations. In my games i saw Capital ships taking extreme damage from one TT but i saw also ships that after TT hit need only repainting.

One of my CV was hit in 1942 with TT near Java after hit she was still able to move 14/30 knots with flood damage below 10 and only 3 or 4 critical. Damage was so low that CV was send to combat and next day planes from it sunk Wasp and Hornet. She need 10 days in port and all damage was fixed
