RE: European Championships

Well, it seems that opposing teams cannot believe how badly England are playing and while they are wondering how the hell England ever qualified for this tournament - England scores the winner. I figure if England really, really stink then Italy will be so busy laughing at them that England could win it.

It might all depend on whether or not the Italians can keep a straight face. [;)]

It's been a good tournament so far, at least on the radio. I have been enjoying it.

You have already mentioned the radio. So you're not watching the games on TV? Just listening? [&:]

Is it me, or is there something very unlikeable about the German manager??

But he’s got a great sense of humour

I know it’s just a joke, but that is Löw. The ball-boy Neuer saw him coming. Löw was just too Klose behind. [:D]

Not missing anything. Another mediocre football tournament. Last exciting Euro was '96, last exciting world cup was '90.

I had a pet goldfish once; he was really clever too. One day I asked him - what is 7 + 7 - 14. He said nothing. How clever is that?

Italy has no forward players.
Someone has to told to Prandelli that you need players that scores if you want to win matches...

England played Catenaccio like Italy old style :) .
In the end a boring match IMVHO.

Well, Italy deserved it. They were the better team. They controlled the whole game.

England have done very well though. They have been the worst team in the tournament and they took Italy to a penalty shootout in the quarter-final. They can't pass the ball, they can't control the ball, they can't keep the ball. In fact, they can't play football at all. To get so far is an amazing achievement. They have been outplayed by everyone.

And well deserved [:)]

Hmm, the English almost never left the cave [&:] This is not the fluid, fresh English football. More catenaccio...

Final Italy - Portugal anyone? [:D]

I doubt it. Italy are goal-shy.

Germany v Spain final I expect. I certainly hope so. The two best teams in the tournament.
