I went on Wikipedia and grabbed a public domain image of a "pistol" shrimp to use with the new biologicals in the database. Please see attached.

Thanks! I'll add them to the next images update

Thanks for this amazing work!
A question: Is there a way to permanently remove the secondary/small pictures?
I tried to remove all line drawings pictures, but the game downloads them automatically.

The secondary images go in the same folder as the primary images. In other words, place the CWDB images in the "C:\Matrix Games\Command Modern Air Naval Operations\DB\Images\CWDB" folder, and the DB3000 images in the "C:\Matrix Games\Command Modern Air Naval Operations\DB\Images\DB3000" folder.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the place to post a discrepancy with the DB3000 and the images :)

#844 is supposed to be the Italian Carrier "Garibaldi".

I'm playing a scenario updated to DB488 and I have the latest image pack (images folder form scratch - nothing there before unzipping the images).
DB browser is showing the picture of a patrol craft or similar.
(I have updated the scenario to DB489 with the same result)

The "Ship_844_t5.jpg" image is correct.

Thanks!

Thanks. That was the result of a file numbering error. It's been corrected for the next update.

The AA-7 Apex missiles either have wrong or incorrect text descriptions for the DB3k DB.

DB_ID 790 AA-7 Apex A [R-23R, SARH] -- incorrect
DB_ID 789 AA-7 Apex B [R-23T, IR] -- incorrect
DB_ID 152 AA-7 Apex C [R-24R, SARH] -- missing
DB_ID 151 AA-7 Apex D [R-24T, IR] -- missing

I've attached a suitable replacement text file using info from wikipedia that seems generally correct.

OldSarge-Thank you for doing this. I will integrate it into the next update, hopefully out at the end of this month!

You're welcome CV60! Kudos to you and your team for the effort that it takes to manage all of these files.

I found time to look at the CWDB and found the AA-7 was missing descriptions for all models. The same description file could probably be used for them as well.

DB_ID 746 AA-7 Apex A [R-23R, SARH] -- 1974
DB_ID 747 AA-7 Apex B [R-23T, IR]
DB_ID 1498 AA-7 Apex C [R-24R, SARH] -- 1981
DB_ID 1499 AA-7 Apex D [R-24T, IR] -- 1981

Anlgzl-This board is for images and the database description files that appear in the game. If you want to have changes and/or additions made to the the actual game database, post your request here: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.a ... e=236&key=

Here is one for an A-10... talk about 'dial a bomb!'

This is guessing but I think it is (from bottom to top)

-Sniper Pod
-JDAM, Mk-82 of some type
-JDAM, Mk-82 of some type
-JDAM, Mk-83 of some type
-JDAM, Mk-82 of some type
-JDAM, Mk-82 of some type
-AGM-65 Maverick - IR so F or G I think
-I have no freeking idea - probably a chaff or DECEM pod of some type
-Paveway II, Mk-82 GBU-16 I think

I'd guess that two of the 500LB JDAMs are GBU-54s; maybe the two darker green ones. But I'd be lying if I said I was certain. The pod near the LGB looks like a rocket pod. A-10s usually carry ECM on the outboard pylons.

Updated image and description packs are now available on the WS downloads page!
This is a large update. 13,169 images and 2.53 GB of primary images in DB3K (an increase of 1,416 images and 0.26 GB) and 6,604 new primary images for CWDB (increase of 119 images and 0.01 GB). Similarly, we have added 129 new descriptions to the DB3K description files. A special thanks to Anzu and kgambit who worked very hard and made this the largest update we have ever released. Also a special shout out to Parel803, cdnice, OldSarge who assisted me with the description files.

The images can also be downloaded on-demand from within CMO (no manual action needed). If you wish to re-download images that you have already got (e.g. to update), delete all files in these folders:
[CMO]\DB\Images\DB3000
[CMO]\DB\Images\CWDB

The updated description files will be included in the next update release.

Big props for this new release to CV60 (overall coordinator) and Anzu, kgambit, Parel803, cdnice and OldSarge!

When you say the updated descriptions will be included in the next update, do you mean the next game update? Like, if I downloaded the new update that came out a few days ago I would get the descriptions?

Active from latest release 1147.34
1. There is a new INI option: add 'AllowInGameDownloads = False' to COMMAND.INI to stop the in-game image downloads
2. In-game DB viewer now supports image and description on the Sensors using same naming conventions (prefix is Sensor_).

Thank you for pointing these out to us! I'll check with the team that is doing the images, and make sure they see them. Hopefully, we will have an update out in the next couple of weeks. [:)]
