The 43rd Infantry Corps are ordered to hold Lyons until the last man.

In Africa the 13th Infantry Corps get up close and personal with some Libyan territorials...

Meanwhile back en Francais, General Weygand asks for a couple of volunteers to look for an ideal location for a new capital (should it be required).

The entire 12th Army volunteer for this hazardous mission.....

Not much else to talk about really. The Soviets "beef up" the Karelian Army with the addition of the not-ever-so-slightly-rubbish 12th Army, and the remaining troops in the south start to feel a tad exposed and move back toward Kiev and Dnepretpeorvpovkssk (or something). The Mongolian cavalry head into town and prepare to........uh I dunno but I'll think of something at some point.

In China the movement is limited by the weather, the rubbish terrain and the lack of mechanised units. God, playing the Chinese is rubbish... [;)]

Finally, the US send a division to a place so great they named it twice - no not New York, New York - but Pago Pago.

The British decide to get serious in the Med and send a Hampden bomber group to Malta.

N/D 39 Axis 9

No DoW or alignments.

Germany & Japan Land. Italy Combined.

Italy flies ATR to North Sea 2-box and a fighter to West Med 1-box.

CA San Giorgio loads 1st Inf Div and heads into West Med. Does the CW wish to intercept?

The French CA proves up to the task and intercepts its Italian counterpart (3 rolled). The San Giorgio elects to remain in the sea-zone's 2-box.

Two areas for naval combat.

The Italian ATR commences searching the North Sea. CW have a number of aircraft they could contribute. Any scrambles?

Leaving just Gladiators for home defence, the remaining fighters of the RAF head out into the North Sea to join those already on patrol.

It comes to naught when neither side can find each other (Axis 10, Allies 6).

Italians decline combat in West Med. Do the Allies wish to avail themselves of the opportunity?

Yes. The French are eager for a scrap with the Italian cruiser.

Consider it done.

Do the RAF Hampdens stationed in Malta wish to partake in the proceedings? They can reach the 2-box (both normal and extended range).

The two sides swan around but nobody makes contact. The Italians thought they got a glimpse of the CW but the pilot dismissed it as a rain smudge on his windscreen (searches Allied 5, Axis 3).

Japan tries 2 ground strikes and artillery against the Nationalist Cavalry near Yenan.

The Germans strap bombs onto a Me-109 and send it to Paris. They also open up on the French capital with their artillery.

The Germans appear to develop acute snow blindness.
