You have some interesting command penalties that hurt this close battle (1.44:1). You might want to reduce these penalties. In the 8MP AAR I will post soon that I spent a lot of admin points to focus commands to reduce penalties. I have come to learn that the 20% penalty for direct attachment to OKH is enough to provide the Soviet Union the advantage they need ... Just a thought ..

Down South.

I launch my second phase of the summer 42 campaign. The first phase was capture of Leningrad which is still progressing and which will succeed.

My tanks, which I have funneled into the south region, have not been spotted by Russian recon. I could allow a Russian breakthru first (they are close) and then counter attack.

I think the better risk is to launch now. There I've done it.

Thus phase 2 is launched officially!!! I intend to capture Rostov after Russians retreat against heavy flank attacks east near the Don , and then onto STALINGRAD! Or both at same time. I have given forces 3 months to succeed.

The first attack is not good. Dam reserves again.

Mostly new leaders (no promotions though) and unit reassignment including moving SU to OKH from up north down to south

By SP do you mean self propelled guns? Was the point spend because you could not wait to let them to drift up and then assign down for free, or to deassign from direct assignment?

Engineers, tanks, AT and now AA, mostly from units north, back to OKH and then following turn attached to divisions in important attacks.

I know he must have his Guards infantry corp lined up in forts but how deep will I have to go until I find them
